Mob That Attacked Capitol Was Provoked By the President, Senator McConnell Says | C-SPAN

"The mob was fed lies. They were provoked by the president and other powerful people, and they tried to use fear and violence to stop a specific proceeding of the first branch of the federal government which they did not like," Senator McConnell says.

Senate Debate on Arizona Electoral College Vote Challenge, Part 1 | C-SPAN.org

McConnell again

Dozens of lawsuits received hearings and courtrooms all across our country. But over and over, the courts rejected these claims, including all star judges that the president himself had nominated," he said. "Nothing before us proves illegality anywhere near the massive scale ... that would have tipped the entire election. Nor can public doubt alone justify a radical break, when the doubt itself was incited without any evidence.

Barr is out of the picture, and out of position. However, he refused to say Trump somehow incited the riots. Everyone knows it is an outright lie to say Trump did. Trump did no such thing, and even liberal scholars have said so, and also that impeachment would be wildly unconstitutional. But then, acting unconstitutionally is a hallmark of Dems.

I, and others think for themselves and didn't need Trump to call out this election fraud to know it was so!

people who are still deluded by Trump, fail to see that he did stir his "followers" (he said that he was the shosen one!) to act violently! This is clear from this clip

you are a voice of logic here as there are some who are blinded by Trump and can see nothing wrong in what he says and does!
Thank you. The majority of Americans approve of Trumps policies. His approval ratings are high. The issue is his behavior. He went too far with the disinformation and rhetoric.

Many choose politics like a sports team. Unfortunately a lot of Christians view Trump as if he were a messiah and cannot tolerate an honest criticism of the man. They see any negative observation as "anti-Trump". The GOP has replaced Christianity in the lives of many believers.

This is also because they view Democrats as the enemy and do not accept that our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the powers and principles they trun to for deliverance.

You are right in your assessment

True, but hardly revealing something new: Are you surprised to learn that Donald Trump values friendship and loyalty and takes "betrayals" personally?

A more interesting question is whether Trump calling for Supporters in GA to boycott the mail-in fraud-vote on the Senate Runoff was "a bad idea" by Trump or retaliation for personal betrayal by the Georgia RNC and Legislature?
