Is Your Church or Ministry Using Social Media?

Twitter? Instagram? Snapchat? Periscope? FourSquare? Others?

And how are they using it?

I'm considering this a thread for sharing ideas.

For example, even though I personally think the new Pokemon Go thing is silliness, businesses are asking to be placed into the game so that people will visit their place of business. Could something similar be used for ministries or churches?

There are posts about how to capitalize on the Pokemon Go thing - things like having water and snacks available or prizes or something.

We have a Facebook page and Instagram for both the church and pastors. It is kept up by a "committee" so to speak - a team of computer/social media savvy people and they update pretty regularly. I have access to our church campus Facebook page and I can also update as needed. So while the website is how most people access the church online (we have the stats to see how people have accessed us), social media also works well.

Usually it's pictures of things going on at church (like right now we have basketball camp and a dance camp). Also they will post those meme type things with Scripture verses or things people said.
