If anyone has already posted on this event, I apologize. Actually, it happened about 6 weeks ago in late October in Winchester, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston. Someone put up about a dozen computer made signs saying, "Islam Is RIGHT About Women."
Police were called but no one knows if the sign was sarcastic or if it was in support of Islam. Either way it was frightening to the upper middle class white women of Winchester and thus the police were called.
Islam has a terrible record on women, but we really should not talk about it. There is polygamy, easy divorce for men but impossible divorce for women, the husband's right to beat the wife, the forced wearing of the hijab or burka, the fact that daughters only inherit half of what sons inherit, FGM, the consideration of a woman's testimony in court to only be half the worth of a man's testimony, etc.
So Americans can't say anything bad about Islam but can they afford to agree with Islam? How long will this PC stuff go on? Should the police be called about this stuff to protect us from thinking or hearing about it?
