‘No credible plot’: DHS distances itself from chief’s ‘mall terror threat’ warnings

The Department of Homeland Security has denied it is aware of any credible terrorist plots against shopping centers on US soil after their chief advised shoppers, particularly in the Mall of America, to be careful following threats from Somali extremists.

“We are not aware of any specific, credible plot against the Mall of America or any other domestic commercial shopping center,” Homeland Security Department spokeswoman Marsha Catron said in a statement. She noted, however, that federal agents have shared the information with local law enforcement and “private sector partners.”

But imo, these durka durkas are HOPING some lone whacko (like the convert in Ok who beheaded a co-worker) will respond. It just takes one to feel "empowered" enough to start mayhem.

We combat this with prayer for safety and prayer for our enemies and VIGILANCE. And hope that there are PLENTY of legally armed citizens around.

Now for the first time ever, the Mall of America is going to post armed guards, according to news reports.

The day of the enclosed shopping mall may be over. Setting aside the issue of terrorism, the enclosed malls become hangouts for gangs of teen-agers who can't think of anything fun to do.

Mallgangs. This is going to be the battleground issue of the 2016 elections.

I can hear it now. "Yes Ms. Clinton that was a well thought out plan and timeline to systemically dissolve ISIS and undermine their leadership but what this country really wants to know is what are your intentions on this emerging Mallgang reign of terror. I hear they have ebola too."

The MOA has not allowed anyone under the age of 18 to be in the mall unaccompanied by an adult for at least 10 years now, so they've got the mall gang banger covered.

Oh, you like to jump on my posts but we had a teen-age riot at the Castleton Mall in Indianapolis a month ago. We have lost 3 malls in Indianapolis in the last 30 years. our Greenwood Mall expanded but in the parking area so that it is no longer enclosed. Our downtown Circle Centre Mall has been the scene of the knock-out gang. Our most upscale Keystone at the Crossing Fashion Mall has very little enclosed area and no where to loiter.

We have the Simons here in Indianapolis who own a large chunk of the malls in the USA. So, yes, Indianapolis is one of the largest cities in the country, and the Simons may own a chunk of MOA, or at least they used too. And I can tell you that the Simons are not developing any additional enclosed areas in Indianapolis any more.

We don't need to worry about the MOA, they have posted the entire mall with "weapon free zone" signs. That will deter any terrorists and keep us all safe. wheeeeew

And the worst part is that Obama won't even call them "mall gangs." He calls them teenagers that could have been his daughters. We won't get anywhere until he stops considering them the JV of the crypts and bloods.

Naw, they went and hired armed security at MOA. It is astonishing that they did not have it before. I think that the Indianapolis malls all have armed guards.

If the durka durkas don't do it the FBI will do it.

And blame it on the durka durkas.
