The "little Hitler" doesn't call the shots in Iran - the clerics do.

And they want Israel dead, too. Yer full of balloon juice, KenH. The clerics are just like him. They just stay in their pajamas when they wake up, and Dinnerjacket wears real clothes.

To paraphrase again, "The naive hath said in his heart, 'There is a threat', even when there is no evidence to support his statement."

Not to belittle your sources, Ken, but mayhaps there just may be a bit of knowledge that the Israelis have access to that you don't; think that's possible?

Naivety is cute in little girls, not adults.

That kind of thinking is what led us into the Iraq mess. We now know that was really, really naive on the part of us Americans.

No it's not. I'm not saying we should take care of it. I'm saying let Israel defend herself.

In America, threatening someone is a crime.

Ken, please stay on topic. This thread is about Israel standing up for herself and has nothing to do with the US. Thanks.

Little history on Hamas...

The Fatah government was in charge in that area until America convinced them on this thing called democracy. That is when Hamas was voted into power. Now we won't recognize then as a legitimate government, in fact we call them a terrorist group.

Moral of story... Democracy isn't meant for everybody especially where people only know war and freedom to vote can't be enforced... You know like in the southern parts of the USA some years ago when blacks weren't allowed to vote. This way anyone not voting for me can't vote...

Israel should be responding with decisive force to eliminate this threat to her people, and the fact that America has made a statement asking for restraint, is ridiculous.

This whole argument of responding "in kind" is also wrong...Where is the worlds condemnation aimed? Israel.

Did America take out a like number of Japanese war ships after Pearl Harbor? No, we bombed two Japanese city's with atomic bombs, probably saving many thousands of lives.

Many people called Biden crazy when he suggested carving up the land and giving them all their own territory. Sometimes I wonder if he might not have the answer...

The problem, LeBuick, is that there are sizable numbers of Palestinians and Israelis who have an all or nothing attitude. Negotiation is difficult with such people.

It won't work. Because ONE group of people (we call them Palestinians) want all of the territory and Jerusalem as their capitol. Besides that, the land has already been carved up, but the Arabs didn't honor their part in it way back when.

No way. Gasoline prices have just come down to reasonable levels and would double overnight if Israel did something like that. It would likely send the teetering U.S. and world economies from a recession into a depression.

I thought that you said not long ago when gasoline was $4.00 a gal that it was due to the weak dollar. Besides I dont really think that Israel will take that into consideration when it comes to protecting its citizens. Who cares about the price of oil when terrorists are lobbing rockets into your cities.

1) It was. That doesn't mean that a foolish attack on Iran by Israel wouldn't double the price of oil quite rapidly. Plus there would a host of terrible consequences for Israel and the rest of the world if Israel did such a foolish thing.

2) Iran is not lobbing rockets into Israeli cities. Hamas is and they don't care if the Israelis retaliate. What is going on now is increasing Hamas's standing among the militants in the Arab world.

I suppose I am what the mainstream would call an Israel Apologist.

I am saddened by the death of anyone, but I am for Israel.

Yes, the so called Palestinians have been kicked out of Jordon and Lebanon for trying to take over. I believe they have had their problems with Egypt also. But the Arabs will speak up for them to keep pressure on Israel.
