A leading Israeli virologist on Sunday urged world leaders to calm their citizens about the coronavirus pandemic, saying people were being whipped into unnecessary panic.

Prof. Jihad Bishara, the director of the Infectious Disease Unit at Petah Tikva’s Beilinson Hospital, said that some of the steps being taken in Israel and abroad were very important, but the virus is not airborne, most people who are infected will recover without even knowing they were sick, the at-risk groups are now known, and the global panic is unnecessary and exaggerated.

I read this article earlier today and that is my hopeful thinking also. I think that the shutdown is a little dubious. Ohio had to shut down all restaurant and bars as well as some other states and I just hope that what Ohio has does not infect Indiana. People who live in rural areas seem to be safer than those of us in these big cities. I have to wonder what will happen to all the homeless mental patients and addicts in places like Los Angeles although Indianapolis has plenty of them, too. I wonder if Indianapolis will be able to run the 500 this year? These big cities should have cleaned up their squalor and filth years ago.

I am wondering if the MSM isn't ginning this coronavirus thing up just to tank the economy and get their candidate elected. You'd think by now there would be hundreds of thousands infected detected, but the numbers are not going up like they should if it was that contagious.

If God wants Trump reelected, nothing can stop Him.
I dont want Biden, he will cave to the globalist agenda, a huge step in the wrong direction.

Philippians 4:5-7 King James Version (KJV)
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I’ll admit that I do make jokes about people being whipped into unnecessary panic, but with all the seriousness of a Coronavirus, I’m not letting my guard down.

It will be interesting to see how Cuba handles Coronavirus. They just got their first case. They don't even have alcohol in many of their emergency rooms. Wait and see if their panic is unnecessary.

If you’re not overreacting you probably aren’t reacting as much as you should. You have to be proportionate in what you do and you have realize that where we appear to be is nowhere near where we actually are with this invisible enemy.

Italy is a prime example of a people who refused to believe the virus was serious. If they do not separate and social distance soon, the exponential increase could be so great that Italy will be just a blot on the map.
Contrast Italy to South Korea, whose people obeyed the rules. Cases are decreasing drastically in South Korea. THE only reason South Korea got out of control is because of one Jesus cult church that defied the rules and spread it everywhere. There is no excuse for this virus to be out of control. It has an R rate of 2, meaning for each 1 infected, 2 more are Infected because of that one.
Measles has 12 to 18 cases for every one infected. Measles is airborne. Coronavirus is not airborne.

Raul Castro will let them cope on their own. They are helpless.

But the politicians WANT to whip up the panic. The Democrats because they can use this against President Trump and install more government control over the people and the Republicans because in siding with the "Great Monetary Giveaway" are simply seeking, I mean buying votes.

Each area of the country needs to be looked at individually. A large population center like NYC is completely different than Peoria, Illinois. A one size fit's all approach is not what is needed.

That's right! The map of the virus in the USA shows that it is in the big cities more than anywhere else. New York state has many cases right now.

I trust the MSM like I trust the Chinese Communists, meaning not at all. They are most certainly hyping the situation in hopes of making Trump seem bad or irresponsible. They accuse him constantly.

But much needed testing has been delayed here, and they will not be testing everyone, just those who may need treatment. That would make sense, if people would cooperate and self-quarantine based on noticing any symptoms.

However, self-diagnosis may be too unreliable if those thinking their symptoms too mild to be COVID-19 unknowingly infect others indirectly through immediate contacts, such as family members who become asymptomatic carriers.

Another concern has been expressed as well, namely that having something other than COVID-19 does not mean one does not have, or cannot also contract COVID-19.

In fact, anyone already sick, is compromised and thus at higher risk of serious complications, so that it is in their own best interests to "stay off the street" until they are well.

If this were stressed a bit more, people might take this pandemic seriously enough to significantly minimize both its spread and its more extreme effects.

Have you noticed how Hollywood types have been forcing their way in to be tested ahead of sick people?

There is supposed to be a quick test now available. It is doubtful that every American will ever be tested because of time and finite medical supplies. Indiana has 126 cases and 3 deaths. The rural areas seem to be safer.

Don't worry, Trump said it would be better for many to die than let it trash the economy. I suppose That was to protect his fortune. USA now has more cases than any other country..
