The lesson is about slavery, not race. Those who think they are ‘owed’ reparations want to make it about race.
I must have misunderstood.
The "So you have no one but yourselves to blame for Black slavery" because white people enslaved other white people comment threw me off.
IMHO a better argument would have been the fact that it was Black Africans who enslaved the slaves sold to slave traders.
The people who should pay reparations to Black Americans for having slave ancestors are Black Americans for having an African ancestry that enslaved Black Africans and sold them to slave traders.
