Dog, by the nature of your later posts, I don't think I've jumped the gun at all.
Sure, Dog. I do care what kind of a day you have. Otherwise I wouldn't have told you to have a nice day. And you are correct...I should have said, "if you don't like what I have posted in the past, don't read my posts in the future." That's what I get for drinking caffiene and posting.

Well, as to everything bad coming out of Egypt, quite a stretch. Now corrupted manuscripts coming from Egypt? My jury is still out.

Jer. 2:8 “…they that handle the law knew me not…”
II Cor. 2:17 “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God:…”

If it happened in Israel and in Paul’s time, I need to be careful no matter where it comes from.

The reason I attack this "Egypt = bad" thingy is that it's been blown all out of proportion by some KJVOs. Barnabas come from Alexandria, and so did Apollos. Scripture says Apollos was greatly learned in the Scriptures, and says nothing about his being learned in CORRUPT scriptures. What he was lacking was knowledge of JESUS. It hadn't been that long since Jesus' resurrection, and Christianity hadn't had time to have been spread in Egypt yet.

There's simply no basis for the "Egypt = bad" thingy.
