Won't make Faucci happy.
If Covid becomes curable, then they can't fear monger the vaccine.
Who cares about Fauci?
‘Tain’t only Faucci, it’s the whole “LEFT” who has found (as long as it can be used for fear) the “goose laying the golden eggs” in this bug!
Faucci is just one drip in the tsunami of liberalism/socialist/communism growing in the U S of A.

I look at it this way - his job is to be cautious and talk about health. The government's job is to balance safety with what is needed.
Yet we cannot really say Faucci....come to think of it. The issue is how people use these things. Covid us real (we lost 2 coworkers over the weekend to covid). But both sides use these realities as political pawns....producing misinformation.
I think it's great that they're trying it out. I think as many solutions as possible should be tried and tested thoroughly.
I won't be taking Ivermectin yet either for the exact same reason I haven't taken the vaccine yet. It's brand new and I don't feel comfortable with enough data.

They are going to have to be far less forked-tongue for a long time 'fore I believe anything they say!
I agree with the politicians. The Democrats used covid as a platform and do, INHO, want control. For example, I agree that statistically seat belts save lives (although they can also cost lives). The people coming to that conclusion based on studies are not incorrect. They are, in fact, right. But the government uses that to mandate seatbelt use. And this was, a few decades ago, a political issue in areas.
And you go along with them. Get in line. Get your vax and enable them. Get online and try to drag everyone else down the path of submission to tyrants. Getting jabbed is submitting to their power and furthering their agenda. The more sheep they get to follow their path, the closer they get to absolute tyrany.
By all means, continue to help the tyrant's take over because you are scared of a 99.97% survivable virus. Ruin the nation, but glad you now feel safe.

Yes. I will not let them make my choice for me (like many pro-covid-vax and many anti-covid-vax do).
To refuse a vaccine just because the government advocates it IS being controlled by the government just as much as taking one because they say so.

You have gone way down the slippery slope.
I honestly don't see how you can think an experimental vaccine that only somewhat protects you from a 99.97% survivable virus is best, but people make strange choices when you plug a bit of fear into an equation.
You have gone from freedom to choose to supporting mandates. You say you don't, but you do. A coerced choice is not freedom to choose. You have lined right up with the Communists.

I'm not sure what experimental vaccines you are talking about. The Moderna and J&J are approved only for emergency use at this time, but they are far from experimental.
I know chances of surviving covid are good - better if vaccinated. But the survival rate of covid is not 99.7%. 3.4% of covid cases have resulted in death.
Do you mean overall chances of getting covid and dying?
You have a 2.4% chance of getting covid and you have a .05% chance from dying of covid, and if you get covid you have a 3 4% chance of dying. This exclude individual factors like age, health, and vaccine states (the unvaccinated are 11% to 15% more likely to die of covid should they get it than the vaccinated).
So globally your number should be 99.95% of not getting and dying of covid.
So far 692,000 Americans have died of covid.
