We aren't saying you are wrong in your opinion, or feelings about Mr. Chick. I have changed my mind about the man, that's fer sure. I couldn't pass one of his tracts out now that I have looked into the matter.

But people might get the wrong idea about you, and start dismissing everything you say, and miss some other excellent posts you have made.

That's what happened to me. ;)

Good, have your own opinions, but keep the offensive ones to yourself. You could have made the same point you made without using words as offensive as you did.

In all fairness, I did apologize.

Mike - I appreciate the spirit of your "earthy" humor because I happen to agree with it. Can see why, however, others who support the >>pick your words carefully, doc<< er, "fantasies" of Chick would take offense at its crudeness.

Would ask for folks who are offended in the future please pm me (as moderator) and I will check it out. UNLESS I wrote the offensive stuff.

I would again like to thank Mike for the admirable restraint he displayed in his remarks concerning the quality of Mr. Chick's literature.

I was once unduly influenced by Jack Chick's writings, as well as the writings of David Cloud.

I have not been a Christian all my life, so I found them influencing me in the early stages of my walk. But then some time back, I made a complete fool of myself over an Anti-Catholic incident. I since took stock in what these two had written about Roman Catholicism, and then found them to be all wrong. I found that they had compromised my walk with the Lord with their misleading writings.

I learned much from that incident, so am no longer influenced by Jack Chick or David Cloud.

In Christ,
Stefan Maznia

Could you refer me to some of David Cloud's writings on the Catholic Church that are false ?
