I wouldn't disagree with astronomy but astrology is wholly different. Study of the Biblical aspects of these things is profitable. I say this due to 2 Timothy 3:16: '...all Scripture is profitable for doctrine...' etc. so one can teach on what the Scriptures say concerning this topic.
As far as pursuing a study of the planetary system in order to determine things to come, I see none of this in NT instruction, nor otherwise. Instead of this we are directed to the sufficiency of the Scriptures; 2 Timothy 3:17; John 17:17.
We would do well to be reminded of this; 'He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:7,8.

When she mentioned something about her prediction coming true because of astrology I had to question that

Jerome, Ms. Massi's views have NOTHING to do with Baptist Fundamentalism. In reading her on several other forums, I found her positions to be defended with much one sided, all inclusive blanket statements against the Baptists. I have nothing against the woman, but I cannot say that she is one of my favorite people, either. We all have our faults, and the good Lord knows that we all will answer for our own. Let's just leave it at that.
