Some Questions

Some questions for SFIC .

Did Christ die for His Church -- the Church which He bought bwith His own blood -- gave Himself up for her AND everybody else ?!

Did Christ lay down His life for the sheep AND everyone else ?!

Did Christ prepare His kingdom before the creation of the world for the sheep AND everyone else -- i.e. the goats ?!

Did Christ die for those whom He said He never knew ?!

Is the Lamb's Book Of Life filled not only with the names of His elect , but everyone else too ?!

In Christ's High Priestly prayer was He really praying for the world even though the Scriptures say He specifically was not praying for the world ?!

Did the Son choose to reveal Himself to some , but in reality choose to reveal Himself to everyone else ?!

Were the plants which Christ's heavenly Father did not plant pulled up by the roots , or perhaps every plant remained planted ?!

Were the secrets of the Kingdom of God given only to some , or perhaps given to everyone ?!

Did the Lord want some to be blinded to spiritual truths so that they could not hear , see and understand , or possibly the very reverse ?!

Does the Son give life to those He is pleased to give it , or possibly does He give it to all ?!

Are there those who are not Christ's sheep to which He gives eternal life , or does He give eternal life to everyone ?!

Did Christ lay down His life for His friends , or not ?!

Intesresting comment! I stood next to a Calvinst preacher. I challenged him in lobby at a national conference a few years ago. He left because he was incapable to answer my questions concerning the Bible. This preacher challenged other people concerning the calvinism and won his case. You are right by saying, "a SAD theology."

Don't keep us in suspense. What were the questions you asked him?

So let me understand your take:

Jesus died for the sins of the world. So all sins are paid for.

Man denies God and thus go to hell.

Man denies God because Satan is blinding them.

God wishes that none would perish but there are those who are blinded by Satan so they will go to hell even if God doesn't want them to.

Thus Satan is stronger than God.
The highlighted is a false conclusion. There are more than one will of God (decretive, declaritive, permissive). Allowing man to be blinded by satan is permissive, else satan has NO power, and we know from Scripture that he does.

Well non-Cals? Put your thinking caps on and answer the questions in a straight-forward manner.

This statement is true. The fact, however, is that God chose the elect for heaven and PASSED BY the remainder to THEIR OWN damnation.

Cheers,

We could go on and on about Calvinist and non- cals and arms and what different men wrote, write or will write. But, it all boils down to the scripture. If you have to massage the scripture to make it say what you want it to say then you are not using the scripture for what it is, the Word of GOD. In some cases scripture is even ignored.

When the Word is read as the Word of GOD, It will complement in context and contrast, It will mesh together not contradict itself.

The Gospel has been written and there is not one who can add anything different to this Word.

We call ourselves and others by different names and argue over heresies, but we still respect those we believe to be heretical.

Jesus died for all this is simply stated in the Bible. No amount of twisting, turning or massaging can change that fact.

GOD is not willing that any should perish and that all would come to repentance.

GOD in his total sovereignty made man in his image and that gave man choice. GOD wants to fellowship with man and be worshiped and edified by his creation, but GOD also wants this to be by choice, this is the ability that GOD gave man when He made man in His image.

GOD is so sovereign that He can only be limited by His on Word and Promise. Man has no ability that has not been given to him by GOD. This includes the ability to choose life or death. Any control that man has was given to him by GOD.

There will be Baptist in Hell along with many Catholics, Methodist, Episcopalians, Pentecostal, Lutherans etc.....
There will also be Calvinist, non-Calvinist, Armenians, non-Armenians, reformed and fundamentalist in Hell.

However, there will be no Christians in Hell! Read the scriptures for what they say, test your doctrine against the Word. Pray for wisdom, most of all pray for each other.:godisgood:
