Jesus died on Wednesday

Why this constant fight over what day Christ died? We either believe the word of God or we do not.

If God had wanted us to know for sure which day it was then He would have made it clear and beyond any doubt.

What we do know:

Mat_12:40 for just as JONAH WAS THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS IN THE BELLY OF THE SEA MONSTER, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Luk_11:30 "For just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation.

God said it, that settles it, I believe it.

We had a long discussion on this not long ago, and I believe your summary pretty much describes the conclusion.

Christ rose on the third day.

1 Corinthians 15:4, . . . that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day . . . .

Matthew 16:21, . . . be raised again the third day.

Mark 9:31, . . . he shall rise the third day.

Luke 24:21, . . . to day is the third day since . . .

Lol, REALLY? God said this, you don't believe it, you rail against it:

Romans Chapter 9

15

For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.

16

So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that hath mercy.

17

For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, For this very purpose did I raise thee up, that I might show in thee my power, and that my name might be published abroad in all the earth.

18

So then he hath mercy on whom he will, and whom he will be hardeneth.

No KY I rail against the false philosophy that you try to push of as biblical theology.

Luke 24:1, 19-24 [NASB]
1 But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. ...
19 And He said to them, "What sort of things?" And they said to Him, "Those about Jesus the Nazarene, who proved to be a prophet mighty in deed and word in the sight of God and all the people, 20 and how the chief priests and our rulers handed Him over to be sentenced to death, and crucified Him. 21 "But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, it is now the third day since these things happened. 22 "But also some women among us left us bewildered. When they were at the tomb early in the morning, 23 and did not find His body, they came, saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said that He was alive. 24 "And so some of those who were with us went to the tomb, and found it just exactly as the women also had said; but Him they did not see."

If someone created a thread with the premise that Jesus never claimed to be God, would it be wrong to post Scripture that challenged and corrected that error?

In the grave 3 days and 3 nights

Lets see
First night: Friday
Second night: Saturday

Third night??? Sat afternoon????

But as Scarlett stated in post # 3 "If God had wanted us to know for sure which day it was then He would have made it clear and
beyond any doubt."

The only reason I bring it up, is that I like to people to think outside the box and just not believe evert thing they hear.
