However - The OT makes repeated reference to Gentiles living outside Israel and worshipping the one True God with Salvation going to all the nations, all the ends of the earth.

So while the Gentile nations were not to be under the civil laws of Israel - they were called upon to worship the one true Creator God.

Paul says all Christians - Jew and Gentile - must keep and fulfill the law:

    Romans (New King James Version)
    2:27
And will not the physically uncircumcised, if he fulfills the law, judge you who, even with your written code and circumcision, are a transgressor of the law?

    Romans (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
    2:27
A man who is physically uncircumcised, but who fulfills the law, will judge you who are a lawbreaker in spite of having the letter of the law and circumcision.

    2:27 (New Century Version)
You Jews have the written law and circumcision, but you break the law. So those who are not circumcised in their bodies, but still obey the law, will show that you are guilty.

    2:27 (The New Living Translation)
In fact, uncircumcised Gentiles who keep God's law will be much better off than you Jews who are circumcised and know so much about God's law but don't obey it.

This is a good point. If gentiles are allowed to "fulfill the law" without abolishing God's Word - how much more - Christ.

And in that regard Christ "perfectly fulfilled" the Law to Love God with all your heart. (Deut 6:5)

He "perfectly fulfilled" the law to love your neighbor as yourself (Lev 19:18)

He "perfectly fulfilled" the law to honor your Father and Mother, speak the truth, love and serve only the One True God...etc.

These acts of "Fulfilling" the Law can not be taken as license to "ignore the law that is fulfilled" either by the gentiles in Rom 2:27 or by Christ in His lifetime on earth.

    In Christ,

    Bob
