I have pondered this as well. Philippians states He “emptied” Himself to become a servant when He took on humanity.Did He perform them using His power as God the Son, or did He perform them using the power of The Holy Spirit?
I keep going back and forth on this.
Think you are right on this, as Jesus chose to not exercise His divine attributes at times, while others seemed to allow form the, to function, so seemed to be relying upon both the Father and Holy Spirit.I have pondered this as well. It would seem consistent to say He performed miracles while empowered by God Holy Spirit, never denying He has always been fully God.
Interesting
Peace to you
True, as we need to avoid extremes, as one would see Jesus as since still fully God, always did miracles and healings due to being God, and other side is always relied upon the Holy Spirit directly in order to be our example, but that view always seems to slide off into some form of Kenosis herersyDoesn't it almost seem like "BOTH". I mean, he did things that He fully expected others should have been able to do as well (he rebuked their lack of faith when he calmed the storm). On the other hand, he did things that no HUMAN BEING could have been expected to do or had ever done before (like forgiving sin or restoring the eyes to a man born blind).
There is also a sense in which talking about Jesus using the power of "the Holy Spirit" is oxymoronic ... almost as if they were three separate GODS and one of them had lost his power ... "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one." - Deuteronomy 6:4 ESV]
