THe man himself had faith too! He stood up!
So you are saying that Jesus only heals when SOMEONE has faith?
No YOU are saying that?

I can not answer that! But I can say that my faith wavered alot during her battle with Cancer! But she did not want to be healed! She even ask me not to pray for her! She said she was ready to be with God!so why didn't YOUR faith AWAKEN heal your mother?
You just said he was healed because of his fathers faith! No YOU are saying that?

For someone to say that God is for putting sickness on someone! I can not imagine me putting a disease on my children!FOLKS -- in the name of decency, let's leave relatives out of this, what do you say?
Yes, our God is a covenant God; but this thought that Job was "outside of the covenant" doesn't make any sense. For example, the covenant was always through blood; and Abel's sacrifice, well before Job, was perfectly acceptable in God's eyes.
If we think Job pre-dates Noah, then Job falls under the same conditions that Abel and the other descendents of Adam fell under -- which included blood sacrifices. If we think that Job came after Noah, then we have to consider that Noah continued the blood sacrifices, and therefore Job was simply following what had been proscribed since well before his birth--falling under the same conditions that Abel and the other descendents of Adam fell under.
Look, I'll readily admit I'm no theologian; and I'll happily allow someone with more schooling educate me. But I don't understand how you're saying Job was outside of the covenant that had existed since Adam.
Further, you didn't answer my question about a "warped conception of who God is". Would you please provide further clarification of what you're saying there?
No I didn't, you are getting your healings mixed up...the little girls father...does anyone ever read what I actually write!
This whole thread isn't even about this anyway!
It was about people using Job and Jesus and other saints in the bible thinking they are COMFORTING someone by holding them to the standard of them...when they have NO IDEA what one has gone through.
More than likely all of them had better childhoods than someone like me or Jessica Dugard and others (Although I wasn't molested as a child, but every other abuse and abandonment you can think of) ...so when bad things happen to them as an adult, they have all the bad reminders of the past and how those who were suppose to represent God to them as children didn't...so their faith in God can be compromised because of it.
Ok...I see your point! Yes! Bad things that happen to them could distort their view of God!No I didn't, you are getting your healings mixed up...the little girls father...does anyone ever read what I actually write!
