Joe Manchin just officially ended Nancy Pelosi’s dream of passing a new voting bill to combat GOP moves at the state level and the left is furious. Manchin wrote, “The right to vote is fundamental to our American democracy and protecting that right should not be about party or politics. Least of all, protecting this right, which is a value I share, should never be done in a partisan manner.

“During my time as West Virginia’s secretary of state, I was determined to protect this right and ensure our elections are fair, accessible and secure. Not to benefit my party but all the people of West Virginia. For example, as secretary of state I took specific actions to establish early voting for the first time in West Virginia in order to provide expanded options for those whose work or family schedule made it difficult for them to vote on Election Day. Throughout my tenure in politics, I have been guided by this simple philosophy — our party labels can’t prevent us from doing what is right.

Good for him, it is an awful bill meant to enshrine 2020 election fraud. "For the People Act", lol, more like "For the Democratic Party's Act for perpetual power", ought to be its real name.

But this Manchin guy and that Siena woman from Arizona are give the DNC fits and starts. If they were Republicans, the MSM would call them mavericks. Nancy and Chuck need to whip them both into shape, just because the GOP tolerates RINOs doesn't mean they have to tolerate these DINOs.

Pundit on CNN argues that he's still better than an all out Republican. So Nancy may not care to try to whip him into shape, especially not over this.

Why Manchin is throwing a monkey wrench in Biden's agenda

He is a political animal, he will do what he can to remain in power in West Virginia, a very conservative state. He has also pushed back against the GND. He would be a RINO for sure.
