Joel Osteen Heckled

I do not care for Osteen's ministry but this was inappropriate, unnecessary, and unChristian. It only worked to give the Kingdom of God a bad name. There was no discerning thought process that could lead up to something like this only emotionalism. This should be soundly condemned by all Christians.

That's why it made no sense to go there and do what they did. It's not like they convinced anyone to leave or even tried to convince anyone to leave. They may have even solidified some people's resolve to stay.

I said..from the testimony I read and gave evidence of the heckler church up the road from us. I haven't read any testimonials from Osteens church.

glazer, I was making a jab at the Right Reverend Osteen's word of faith, no-sin, no-law, no-grace, no-repentance, no-Christ pep talks he gives on TV. I refuse to call them sermons.

The best way for Joel to go bankrupt would be for him to call for repentance and to actually exegete a Biblical passage for a change, tell his sheeple the true gospel, then watch his 'church' clear out.

Of course, the notion that Osteen sold out implies that he was the real deal at some point.

Deep? Did you see him on David Letterman a couple years ago. Joel could not even answer the simple question "Is Jesus the only way to heaven?". David gave him plenty of chances to answer and Joel could not answer.
