So what’s the big deal Steve?!? He will get press and that’s probably what he is fishing for.

I just thought it news worthy. I believe the government should accommodate his conscience. However, I strongly disagree with him that the right thing to do is church services without social distancing or masks.

MacArthur is encouraging many people, believers and unbelievers. I heard he's at peace with the consequences he faces. Said he's looking forward to jail ministry.

The president has no commutation power over a state sentence, only a federal sentence.
Its a legal grey area due to a single fact. Trump and his attorneys at the DOJ are saying Macarthur is having his Civil rights violated. It gives President power to step in.

I've also heard it's going to be tough to find an officer to execute the arrest. Lot of police in his church, and good relationship with local police.

Unfortunately, They will find someone.
If they arrest him, IMO, its time for Christians in California to riot.

Nope. Not for us Constitutionalists who believe when the Founders limited the power of the federal government that they actually meant to do so on purpose.

So the justice dept cant intervene when a state official violates the Civil Rights of a citizen?

There are probably only about 5% of people like
me left in this country that actually care about going by the Constitution. The other 95% just want the government to do what they want it to do, regardless of what the rules set up by the Founders are.

“But recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings, sometimes being publicly exposed to reproach and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated. For you had compassion on those in prison, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one. Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.” - Hebrews‬ ‭10:32-35‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The Founders intended The Bill of Rights to pertain to all citizens. Had a governor jailed a pastor for having church, you bet your britches the Founders Federal govt would have intervened.
