I beg to differ. Macarthur does understand the issues involved. Take away genesis, then the whole bible unravels.

A very sound Bible teacher/preacher. I love his verse by verse teachings (wish my pastor was a little more like that).

Many years ago I subscribed to GTY's lending library program. Always had tapes (shows you how long ago it was) coming and going. Learned a lot back then. Wonder if they still have that program?

go to www.gty.org. They also have a phone app where you can listen to archived sermons at any time.

If you get on the gty mailing list, you get some sermon cd's and usually a free book or two. I've received the MacArthur ESV study Bible, Slave,
At the Throne of Grace: A Book of Prayers, and a biography of MacArthur for free.

Take away Genesis and yes, the whole Bible unravels.

Take away MacArthur's interpretation of Genesis and it does not.

    Big difference.

    Maybe.

    Not among regular evangelicals, though.

    have to define "regular evangelicals"

Would say that there are many who would hold to God as creator, and that the earth/Universe is ancients...still has man as special creation of God, animals/plants also!

I personally have no problem with them holding to that view, even though think not bibical correct, but DO have problems if they go down say the Theistic Evolution approach!
