Rolf, from what I see everyday on this board and in evangelical churches , politics has taken the place of the word of God.
I have observed none of that on this site. Had I, I would not be here.
I will not dispute that this may take place in select evangelical churches. Evangelicals are a large, varied bunch.
Instead of loving Christ and loving others and sharing the Gospel in love to see folks come to Christ, many in the church are bickering over conservative vs liberal and dem vs repub and this issue vs that issue.
Perhaps in your church, but not in mine.
There are constant inconsistencies in what it looks like the church stands for because our convictions are seemingly more often based in our politics than in the word of God.
I agree. A prominent example is sodomy/lesbianism.
A genuine love of God and His way will generate the fruit of the Spirit whereas the fruit of politics is division and anger.
If you believe that, why do you post about politics so much? I have noticed that you are quick to brand others as hypocrites for making political comments. So far, I have yet to read any of them state that the act that they are engaging in ought not be done. Yet you do just that. It looks pretty hypocritical.
