This is the correct decision. Justice is served!
In the meantime, this woman is rather quietly sentenced to twenty years: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57433184/fla-mom-gets-20-years-for-firing-warning-shots/
What gives? Sounds like she also turned around and went back, but in her own home, nobody is dead, and she's never been in trouble before. ?
I'll tell you what I think it is. I think whether one is guilty or innocent, it doesn't matter. What matters is if you have a ton of money on your side, then you'll usually be found not guilty, whether you're innocent or guilty. If you don't have enough money, you'll be found guilty, whether you're innocent or guilty.
I don't know that it has anything to do with race. Perhaps it has everything to do with money when it comes to the system, who you and your lawyer knows, which again comes back around to money - get one with enough money, they have enough connections to get you what you need for an innocent verdict.

have you read this ?
it seems she fired the gun just above his head AND her children's INSIDE HIS home (not hers), the gun was in her CAR, which she retrieved. if these are the facts of the case, then I guess "stand your ground" doesn't apply.
Instead it would be attempted homicide or whatever they call it in that jurisdiction.
All I ask for is accuracy in reporting. We all know Zimmerman shot Martin; he was found not guilty of murder. Am I asking too much?
Gina--to go along with what I posted earlier today, and what ITL underscored with his post...I also heard an interview with Zimmerman's lawyer who asked the question, Zimmerman screamed for help for 45 seconds (or Martin did, depending on who you believe), while being hit and having his head pounded into the sidewalk, before he pulled the trigger.
The defense attorney also stated that Zimmerman got out of his car to look for Martin when the 911 operator asked where the kid was.
In other words, like the story you posted about, NONE OF US HAVE THE WHOLE STORY AND ARE MAKING JUDGMENTS BASED ON SPECULATION.
If anything, that makes it even more clear. It WAS her home, the marital home, and she didn't just drive over. She actually spent the night, so it's not like she burst in unexpected and he had no clue she was there. She spent the night in her husband's home.
And ran to her car in the garage. Then got out of the car. That actually sounds a LOT like Zimmerman, except Zimmerman wasn't in his own home and didn't know the suspect, let alone just give birth to his child, where this woman was in her own home and married to the person she claims to have been afraid of, and was showing him pictures of his baby.
She's also accused of the horrible act of still talking to her own children and of going back to the marital home to get some of her own belongings.
Guys who hit on their wives generally don't want them to even a scrap of their own things during a divorce and will not let them so much as say hello to their kids if they dare go against them. It's a control thing. And of course they'll find it amusing to throw the wife in jail if she dared stand up for herself. How dare she. He has all the power. She has none. This case REEKS of a typical domestic violence type separation. Read between the lines.
And don't tell me no kids were near where Zimmerman shot. That lady on the phone to 911 was hiding with her child/children in the phone call, in fear. Look at the photos. What if he would have missed? What if the bullet went through? It was a populated area with homes and windows in extremely close proximity and he wasn't firing a warning shot. He easily endangered other people's lives by shooting a gun in that area.
