Well, after all, this has made blacks look like the real racists, homosexuals look like attention-seeking victimizers, Chicago look like a hate-filled city, Hollywood actors look like brazenly smug liars, the liberal media look like fake news propagandists, talk show hosts look like judgmental race-baiters, Democrats look like crazed Trump haters, etc., etc.; in other words, no real harm done, right?
Jussie's getting caught crying wolf might make it harder for the next hoaxer to get attention, but don’t hold your breath. Let the Green New Deal proponents do that. Besides, though the police are quite confident, he hasn't confessed, and there has been no trial yet.
I thought this was a hoax from the beginning -- didn't pass the "smell test." But I must say I am surprised how it has turned out. I figured the media would allow this to fade into the woodwork and be forgotten, no harm, no foul, you know. Kudos to the Chicago P.D. for staying on it.

Smollett was trying to touch off national race riots. He must have cost the Chicago police and the FBI a million dollars in manpower hours to track down his activities. He has a million-dollar a year job and he should be made to pay back the City of Chicago, which is bankrupt.
Just heard about an incident at a Cali university, where all things leftist are rewarded. The leftist screamed at the Trump supporter that ‘he was inciting violence’, before attacking & punching the supporter. Um.....alrighty then.
