Just 53% Say Capitalism Better Than Socialism

This is scary. But I guess it is something that we will have to live with for a while until people once again see the light. One thing people never learn form history is that they never learn form history someone said. We are the greatest, most abundantly blessed nation in the world and it didnt occur from a socialist form of government.

Of course the survey sample probably included few - if any - that have actually lived under a socialist system.

Ignorance is bliss.

When people hear the word capitalism it quickly brings to mind some of the many abuses thereof... corporate executives who make millions while those who work in production struggle to afford a home; entertainers and athletes that horde riches and live lavishly; brainwashing children (and adults) to cry and beg for the latest toys or fads...

Even though I stand by capitalism, you can't say it doesn't have a lot of negativity. And I think that's what compels many to say they would prefer socialism.

Only 53% of American adults believe capitalism is better than socialism.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 20% disagree and say socialism is better. Twenty-seven percent (27%) are not sure which is better.

Americans are, by and large, self absorbed idiots.

They're too stupid to understand where the wealth of the nation comes from.

Many of them don't even know the difference between socialism and capitalism.

Once 50% plus one are on the government dole...socialism (and its more repressive cousins) is absolutely an inevitability.

We're getting closer to that number by the day.
