Okay, she said it, and now the media and social sites are trending the fact that Clinton thinks the majority of Trump's supporters are, in fact, a "deplorable" lot! But, was she right? And will her words come back to haunt her, or will they not tarnish the armor of this lady who seems invincible, especially when it comes to her emails and lies?

Do you think you are deplorable, especially if you are a Trump supporter? Personally, if that is what the upper class thinks of me for supporting Trump, so be it! I'd rather be deplorable than a morally corrupt reprobate!

It won't matter to her supporters at all. Nothing she does matters to them. But some so called "undecideds" may be turned off by her articulation of her elitism.

No. She did not say that. She said that "half" of Trump supporters fit into a "basket of deplorables." It's in the very first sentence of the story you linked! Did you not read the story?

Half is not a majority.

Here's the full quote:

“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?” she said to applause and laughter. “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.”

I don't agree with her comments, but she noted herself that she is being "grossly generalistic."

But, was she right? And will her words come back to haunt her, or will they not tarnish the armor of this lady who seems invincible, especially when it comes to her emails and lies?
I would say there are a lot of Trump supporters who are xenophobic (the obsession about immigration that seems to be limited to Hispanic/Latino illegal aliens) and Islamaphobia (lumping all Muslims into the category of terrorist or potential terrorist).

Do you think you are deplorable,
especially if you are a Trump supporter?
I am not a Trump supporter, so she was not talking about me. Moreover, I don't think I'm racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic or Islamaphobic.

Personally, if that is what the upper class thinks of me for supporting Trump, so be it!
I think you have that backwards. She's pointing out that a lot of people who hold the views she described are supporting Trump. Supporting Trump does not necessarily make you a person who fits into her "basket of deplorables." Remember that - according to her - only half of Trump supporters fit into that mold.

I'd rather be deplorable than a morally corrupt reprobate!
You shouldn't be either. Moreover, she did not necessarily claim you were, unless you match the description.

Well, thank you brother for straightening me out on the entire issue. I no longer feel deplorable.

Well said.
We all know she was referring to the alt right, whom she has previously called out in relations to the Trump campaign. My husband when he heard her quote looked at me and said, is it sad that I agree with something Clinton said, and I said no what is sad is Christians defending the Alt Right because Clinton tagged them correctly to which he agreed. It is amazing what the hatred of Clinton is bringing out.

It won't have as big an effect this time. The media will make sure of that.

I'm not so sure. Incredibly, the press is using it to beat up Republicans. Like the title of this thread, reporters are asking Republicans if so-and-so is deplorable. Look at what Wolf Blitzer did to Mike Pence by asking him: "Is David Duke deplorable?"

"Well, as I told you last time I was on, I'm not really sure why the media keeps dropping David Duke's name," Pence said. "Donald Trump has denounced David Duke repeatedly. We don't want his support, and we don't want the support of people who think like him."

"Would you call him a deplorable?" Blitzer pressed. "You would call him that?"

"No, I don't — I'm not in the name-calling business, Wolf."

So Pence said of Duke: "We don't want his support, and we don't want the support of people who think like him." But that wasn't enough. Would he use Clinton's word? And when Pence didn't — well, look at the coverage that followed:

Pence declines to call Duke 'deplorable' — Politico.

Mike Pence refuses to call David Duke 'deplorable' — USA Today.

Mike Pence declines to say whether David Duke is 'deplorable' because he 'is not in the name-calling business' — Washington Post.

Mike Pence refuses to call David Duke 'deplorable' — Huffington Post.

Mike Pence declines to call David Duke 'deplorable,' disavows support' — CNN.

Mike Pence Denounces David Duke but Won't Call Him 'Deplorable' — ABC.

Mike Pence refuses to describe former KKK leader David Duke as 'deplorable'; 'I'm not in the name-calling business' — New York Daily News.

Mike Pence Won't Call David Duke 'Deplorable' — Daily Beast.

Mike Pence Just Refused to Call Ex-KKK Leader David Duke 'Deplorable' — Esquire.

Mike Pence says he wouldn't call David Duke 'Deplorable' — Slate.

Mike Pence is too nice to call an avowed racist 'deplorable' — GQ.

The headlines were multiplied through Twitter. When Rebecca Sinderbrand, a Washington Post political editor, tweeted, "Wolf Blitzer: Would you call David Duke 'deplorable'? Pence: 'I'm not in the name-calling business…'" she received 1,800 retweets. When a short time later Sinderbrand tweeted "(Pence noted that he and Trump reject David Duke's support)" she received 36 retweets.

I don't think you are being truthful.

Funny how you believe 25% of the population is "deplorable" , just like Hillary does. Just because they will vote for Trump. You're turning into a Hillary clone. That's what your hatred of Trump has done to you.

I detest Hillary and everything she stands for. Clear enough?

Just another example of the dishonesty of a media that is so in the tank for Clinton that they have become a complete joke as journalists.

Really you know what I believe about 25% of the populatuon. That's Funny because I have only used the word "deplorable" once and that was to Stever pointing out that by his definition the Alt Right is deplorable since they are pro-choice.

by the way the 25% is high since according to Real Clear Politics Trump is sitting at 43.4% and half of that is 21.7% to be precise.

Your attacks at NeverTrumpers are clear and that is what your "detest" of Clinton has done too you.

Back in 2008 Hillary Clinton spoke of Obama as an "elitist" and as someone who couldn't possibly understand the concerns of "working, hard-working Americans, white Americans who had not completed college, and they are supporting me."
LINK

Now in 2016 some Democrats are calling these people alt-right, whatever that really means.

Enforcing the border used to be a bi-partisan priority. Jimmy Carter at one time barred Iranians from entering the country, and no one called him a racist or xenophobic. It was just considered good common sense. Now, well gosh only racists would support such measures.

Yep. You said you agreed with Hillary...or was that your husband?;)
That was my husband although to be more precise he would amend that to everyone without the blood of Christ is depraved regardless of who one votes for in the election. What I said is that it was sad that Christians were defending the Alt Right which in my opinion is as indefensible as the Nazi or the Planned Parenthood or the pro choice movement.

She cannot know that. It is only an attempt to demonize Trump to the point people are afraid to be connected with him. If is a far left wing extremism tactic and you should not take part in such ungodly behavior. Shame on you.
