Just Out Of Curiousity....

Again, you can't compare referencing the posts that people make here in this open public forum to the gossip and talking behind people's backs that Scripture references. When you put your posts out here in public you are inviting people to talk with you and about what you have said. I agree we need to pray for the folks here on the BB (including me).

We are drifting way off the topic of the OP with this discussion of gossip here. Frenchy has started another thread specifically about gossip. Let's take this type of discussion over there.

Donna, this is not the first time Frenchy has accused people of "following her around" the BB. What she seems to not realize is the open nature of a BBS and how people post on a variety of topics. She overestimates her importance, and it seems, overestimates a sermom by her pastor as a substitute for scriptural reference.

Frenchy, pet tenets by a person, even a pastor, doesn't make them so. No one cares to follow you around. And I know this will not be adhered to, since you repeatedly do this, but instead of making baseless assertions, please provide evidence from credible sources for your claims.

I truly am not out to flame you...just want you to engage in mature and meaningful dialog rather than making all sorts of odd assertions all over the BB, and then getting upset when people ask for your evidence.

 

It probably would have been a better idea to start this topic AFTER you had all your evidence at your disposal.

The one thing that has always struck me about Isaac's age at the time of the sacrifice was that Isaac would have been old enough to struggle with his father, but apparently he did not. That part of the story has always struck me as a comment on how much Isaac trusted his father, and how obedient he was.

Oh, and back in those days life was much harder physically. Children (that survived) would have been much stronger than our 10 year olds are now. For a 10 year old boy to gather wood would have most likely been a task he had been doing for some time and he would have been quite accustomed to the physical demands of it.

 

What does Isaac's age have to do with anything? Is it just a nugget for my "gee-whiz" bag? Tell me where you read in Scripture that Isaac was the age you purport, and I'll reexamine, but after checking a little this morning, I didn't find it. What does it matter anyway?

 

Just out of curiosity, have you listened to the tape yet? Where are those verses?

 

You asked me about Cain and Abel's wives,and I posted what the bible says, and that saying Abel had a wife for certian, without scripture is Islamic teachings, not christian.
