Lets try this: Is Biden your number 1 choice to be the Democratic Party nominee in 2024 - if not who do you think would be the best D-nominee?
Joe Manchin or John Bel Edwards

(although, technically, I am just an anti-Trump Republican and not a Democrat.)

I was serious enough to present supporting facts along with my opinions. I have received only empty rhetoric in response.

Ah, that's what I thought. I asked you an honest question to understand your comments, and THIS was your response?
That says more about you than it does about me.

First of all, I am a true Liberal: one who eschews leftist, "woke-ism," anarchy, Marxism, technocracy (most of all), and acolytes for the current administration. Your initial post - along with this last response - leads me to believe you're in the latter camp. I might be wrong, but I made a genuine effort to ascertain what you think.

Your "supporting facts" are nothing more than statements of your opinion. That is usually indicative of an acolyte. So let's take a look at your "supporting facts:"

• Saudi Arabia is talking about recognizing Israel.

This claim appears to be a little premature....

US denies peace deal brokered between Saudi Arabia and Israel

• NATO is expanding under Biden’s watch.

Ah, so you point to the expansion of a Cold War relic as a key performance indicator. Interesting that Russia and China don't see this as a positive.

China joins Russia in opposing Nato expansion

• We are not at war with anybody.

That is partially true, though we are actively funding a war. Here's one of the latest aid packages:

Biden asks Congress for $40 billion to support Ukraine, replenish US disaster aid and bolster border

(Notice that Ukraine gets a total of $21 billion and only $12 billion "to replenish U.S. federal disaster funds at home").

It's a good thing we aren't in a direct conflict though, huh?

Biden delays plans to restock nation’s emergency oil reserve

• Record low unemployment.

While this is an accurate statement, it doesn't seem to be helping the average American household.

Americans are pulling money out of their 401(k) plans at an alarming rate | CNN Business

• Inflation is starting to come back under control.

Of course we all know "core inflation" doesn't include fuel and food prices:

Why some inflation measurements don’t include food and energy prices

The Consumer Price Index does:
Consumer prices rose by 3.2% annually in July, picking up for the first time in 13 months | CNN Business

• He actually made electric cars a reality (they suck, but he did what he said he would do).

This is also held out as a positive? It doesn't appear to be a positive for Ford (though they made huge money despite the ev losses).

And the impact of this mandated transition?

• How is the Southern Border? Are we still placing children in cages?

This is laughable, and the biggest reason I suspect you're an acolyte. The Southern Border is - by most accounts - a total crisis. But you're absolutely correct - in the context of a campaign pledge:

I think it's fairly clear the border is an issue that is now insurmountable. There are numerous stories/headlines regarding the fentanyl and the sheer volume of people crossing the border.

With respect to the "cages," are you referring to these "cages?"

Fact check: Obama administration built migrant 'cages'; meme is true

So yeah, I guess I could see why you are "not sure Biden deserves his disapproval ratings."

Not to enter into a debate, but …

That particular problem remains largely unchanged from previous administrations. There has been a southern border and illegal immigrant problem for decades. What is different now from 4, 8 and 12 years ago?
1. DT initiated a “stay in Mexico” policy for folks seeking asylum.

Biden cancelled that policy immediately

2. DT was building a border wall

Biden stopped construction on the wall immediately.

3. DT ended “catch and release” of illegals. He immediately deported illegals.

Biden reinstated “catch and release”.

4. Biden began night flights of illegals all over the country to avoid scrutiny.

When Repub governors began sending illegals to “sanctuary cities”, the libs began complaining about all the illegals coming into their communities.

DT was making progress on the border, despite opposition from both repubs and Dems.

peace to you

I just LOVE how you deliberately misrepresented my comments by omitting my last sentence in your quote.

Here it is:
"I might be wrong, but I made a genuine effort to ascertain what you think."

Wow: that says more about you than it does about me.......
