Just what is "Truth"

We know that God chooses individuals for salvation based on "faith in the truth." 2 Thessalonians 2:13.

So just what is this "Truth" in which we are supposed to believe?

A little study will answer our question.

Does John 16:13,14 tell us how we will be able to, "hear," the truth of the gospel?

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

5) John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 8:32, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:36, If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

It appears some do not know our gospel is the gospel of Christ.

Not to put too fine a point on it but:

Faith in the Truth = Faith in Christ = Faith in our Gospel.

What does it mean, Christ is the Truth? Truth has fidelity to the original. Christ is the image of our invisible God. He is God, He is the means of reconciliation, He is the giver of eternal life.

Christ sets free from the bondage of sin, those washed in His blood.

When we are transferred into Christ, we are "in Him" and after the washing of regeneration, and being indwelt with the Spirit of Christ, we "know" Christ and more importantly Christ 'knows" us.

Never again need we worry about Christ telling us "I never knew you...."

What is the truth about John 16:13? Jesus is telling His Apostles they will be indwelt and guided into "all the truth." Many, including myself, believe those enabled to write the New Testament, were inspired, presenting the very words of God. But as a cessionalist, I believe that gift is not longer given, and we present the truth only by accurately handing the word of truth, from the inspired authors.

Yet it was a concern because of the false brothers secretly brought in, who had sneaked in to spy on our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to enslave us. But we did not yield in subjection to them, even for an hour, so that the truth of the gospel would remain with you.

God's Word is Truth, Christ's Gospel is Truth, but those trying to enslave others with their perversion of the gospel are not of the Truth.

They do not want anyone to actually study God's word, because their perversion will not stand up to study. They do not want for you to think for yourselves, they want you to submit to their false doctrines.

How are we chosen for salvation. Through conditional election, through faith in the truth.

We are to accept the love of the truth, which is to say we to accept the love of Christ and believe in Him.

That Dear Friends is the Truth

But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in the presence of all, “If you, being a Jew, live like the Gentiles and not like the Jews, how is it that you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews? [NASB]

Here God's truth teaches us not to be hypocrites, requiring or compelling others to live one way, while they live another.
We are not to treat others like we do not treat ourselves. We are not to practice deceit if we do not want to be deceived.

In America today, we are at war, the forces of darkness are attacking Christian beliefs, and our entire Judaeo Christian culture.

The collaboration of Atheists (the Left) and Muslims, both thinking they ought to compel others to agree with their viewpoints, are viciously attacking our culture. The "whatever means necessary" crowd vilifies those holding opposing views, which of course results in the killing of those in Christian churches and Jewish places of gathering such as beaches and embassies. They have infiltrated education establishments, and news organizations, teaching Lincoln was a racist, and
Transgenderism is just dandy.

Do you want to be "represented" by people who believe in "persuasion" or in "compulsion?"

Those that believe in persuasion believe in freedom, those that believe in compulsion believe in enslavement.

Greedy folks took America's lands from the native peoples by guns and guile, now they are coming for nice things through fraud, and violence.
