Keeping Sharp By Avoiding the Dirt

Now I got all my chainsaws up and running the first priority is keeping those saws sharp! First good advice – Keep it out of the dirt. I have often thought the same truth goes for our Christian life. A lot of people’s lives go bad by hitting the dirt. The dirt can make good people lose their sharpness and go forever bad!

Maintaining purity is about avoiding idleness first of all, but also maintaining custody of your eyes, thoughts and conversations as practical measures. But then it’s about asking for the graces in your quiet time with Jesus.
If you can’t get to sleep straight away, pray yourself to sleep, the Lord’s Prayer is very good.

Stay in the light, purity takes work to maintain with so many things in modern life.

The benefits are your awareness of the spiritual, beauty and joy is lived and enjoyed, it’s worth maintaining, as a happy child of God. We are supposed to be that way.

Also your intelligence as it is will not be darkened but be enhanced. Impurity makes you stupid, ignorant and unaware. This can lead to greater darkness and strong snares.

Unless we stay very close to Jesus, we grow cold. By living in the Presence and being faithful and attentive to His constant Presence, our hearts and minds become attracted to other loves.

How do we keep our love singular?

By doing everything for the Love of Jesus, right from our waking, our employment to the smallest thing we do for others.

Sounds like hard work, but once the habit of attentiveness is built, it becomes our life. All relationships take work, and prioritising the other over one’s self.

You can’t go long living in Jesus Presence without receiving the effects of His Presence. His Love, Light, and Strength becomes ours, it saturates our being, He is the radiant source.
He gives greatest meaning and significance to our life, with Him life is lived to the full. Life with Jesus is the ultimate adventure and our happy home.

When you say your Our Father in the morning, ask The Father to show you in a strong way what you can do for Him that day.
He will direct you. Unless we have become very sensitive to His prompting, we generally need to be shown in a strong way, the job He has for us, to get the idea and how He communicates.

The Lords Prayer is a humbling prayer, it recognises The Father’s Sovereign Rule and Blesses His Holy Name, it recognises our insufficiency and need of Him for providence and protection from temptation and deliverance from evil.

This Prayer gives us a right disposition to receive Grace and direction for the day.

Say this prayer slowly and with your heart, don’t rattle it off, really mean it, with a child’s heart.

When we are serious with God, He is serious with us. Talk to Him as if He is right there with you, because He is right there with you.

To humble ourselves further, kneel when saying The Lord’s Prayer.
