I don't think he's a Christian. I don't think he's a republican apologist, either. I've heard him viciously criticize Bush over the Meyers nomination, the borders, the Kathmani tour, spending, and several other things. Something I never hear is Franken, Rhodes, Garafalo, Springer, or Olberman criticize any democrat. And yes, I do listen to them.

Even Chris Matthews, moonbat that he is, will hold democrats responsible for their stupidity, take his lambasting of Cynthia McKinley. Tucker Carlson does a pretty good job, as well.

This is unfortunately true for many. I haven't listened to Limbaugh in years. I got sick of him. I would rather listen to the Jungle. Or not listen to anything which is the usual.

But the fact that some listen to Limbaugh hardly excuses Olberman's igorant rant about the responsibilities of the executive branch. Even Rush isn't that stupid ... usually.

Actually, he was forced out at ESPN because he was critical of ESPN, Bristol, CT, and some coworkers at ESPN. He was also forced out at Fox Sports for some of the same reasons. I liked him as a sports analyst and as a pop-culture analyst. However, as someone has pointed out, he's a person with a microphone and nothing more, much like Limbaugh, Franken. et.al.

    You're kidding, right?
Don't know if this was addressed at me, but every time I have discussed Ann Coulter, I find it SO EASY to simply utilize her own statements. I seldom need anything else.....

Olbermann says that the Gettysburg Memorial was dedicated "barely four months after the last soldier staggered from another Pennsylvania field".

Well, Lincoln had nothing to do with authorizing or creating a soldier's cemetery at Gettysburg. A private citizen bought the 17 acres on his own and invited Lincoln to speak. The monument itself was dedicated six years after the Battle.

Then he throws in this nonsense about, "A mini-series, created, influenced -- possibly financed by -- the most radical and cold of domestic political Machiavellis, continues to be televised into our homes….How dare you, Mr. President".

So Pres Bush is now responsible for programming on ABC? Right.

Concerning the 9/11 memorial, surely Olbermann knows that:

It was 9 months before the destroyed buildings and debris were removed from the site

There were time-consuming issues regarding insurance payouts: whether the property owner could collect or not and how much. Without that settled, there was no money to begin any new work on the site.

The WTC was owned and operated by the Port Authority, but the property was privately owned. The Port Authority was created by the states of New Jersey and New York. Any rebuilding required coordination between the Mayor of New York City, the Governor of New York State, the Governor of New Jersey, the insurance companies and the property owner.

Plus, the victims’ families organized, and each family organization had problems with the plans.

Then there was the so-called "tolerance museum" involving Martin Luther King, American Indians, and all sorts of other worthy causes, which was eventually set aside.

How George Bush is responsible for all this is a mystery. But then Olbermann found a way to make it so!
