I attended a men's group meeting for the first time at a local church in the area this past Saturday. I chatted with a pleasant fellow who asked me if I would be willing to read a book about some of the topics that came out of our discussion. This is the book he gave me: Key to Deep Change I just finished reading it about an hour ago. The premise of the book is that all of us have unfinished business in our spiritual lives that will hamper the work of progressive sanctification unless and until it is dealt with in a biblical manner. There were some things in this book that hit me like a lightning bolt. I call those "a-ha moments". But there was also a lot of buzz words that I would expect to hear from a motivational speaker like Tony Robbins. On a whole I found the book enlightening (revealing the nagging sin issues in my life - i.e. "Unfinished Business") and challenging (whether I want to do something about those nagging sin issues). The author presents his action plan for tackling those nagging sin issues.
Has anyone read this book? If so, thoughts?
