You didn't read my post very well. FIVE men came at us, threatening & CUSSING. And we didn't threaten them-just stood there holding the bats on the ground like canes while, in a gently voice, told them, "we suggest you move on." Scripture says turn the other cheek, but being cussed & threatened for teaching kids about Jesus exhausts my supply of cheex very swiftly.
^^^^^^^^ that's a threat.Neither dad nor I were small men, & we stood up; I picked up a coupla ball bats from the back of my truck, handed one to dad, & kindly suggested those men move on.

Reminded me when one time my best friend and I after mid week service stoppe din loacl Golden Arches, and talked Bible, and 2 elder men stopped us and commented really liked 2 young men talking about Bible and Jesus, just wished that we could have used the Kjv, just as Moses did!Call it whatcha want; I don't care. In my BC days, if confronted by such a group over something, I'da likely started breaking legs at once. Fighting was a first resort. But JESUS made it a LAST resort for me!
