I like to use the KJV for the language and the fact I memorized passages from the KJV.

There are, of course, some things I do not like about it but that does not make it a bad translation.
The big problem is that those holding to KJVO make it seem as if any not into that would be calling the Kjv bad, a sham, not valid translation, all false, as its good, just not perfect!

king James approved the 47 translators who wrote the KJB. (He actually approved 54). The KJV that KVJO advocate is not the 1611 KJV but the 1769 KJB edited by Blayney.
They may assume and claim that they have the 1769, but they don't. Very few if any KJV-only authors have seen and examined an actual edition of the KJV printed in 1769.
A part of what is advertised as the 1769 Blayney edition can be found at Hathi Trust and Google Books. It is a bit frustrating to use because (1) it is not a great scan job to begin with, and (2) it just cuts off in the book of Jeremiah. I am not aware that it is available as a free resource elsewhere. Great Site sells a facsimile edition, but it is not inexpensive.

The large [10 inches by 15 inches] facsimile reprint edition of the 1769 Oxford edition was available at E-bay for around $100, but I do not know if it still is. I had obtained my copy of it there over a year ago.
They do have some good buys there, and also some really crazy prices, such as this one for $7,750.00! (They probably expect folks to make an offer well below that, but would be overjoyed if someone just bought it straight out.)

As what many would call a KJVO (happen to be an TRO). I love the KJV but also love the NKJV and Webster along with the Amplified Bible. Why some versions as a believer in Christ I would never recommend; I will not tell another stop reading it if the Spirit so leads them.

Just beware of huge gaps in the Bible of certain teachings.
