NEW YORK (CNN) -- Six years of investigations and prosecutions have turned up little evidence of Islamic jihadists at work in the United States, according to a study released Monday.

The study, conducted by New York University's Center on Law and Security, tracked 510 cases billed as terrorism-related when arrests were made.
But it found only 158 of those people arrested since al Qaeda's September 11, 2001, attacks were prosecuted for terrorism.

<snip>

"The vast majority of cases turn out to include no link to terrorism once they go to court," the report found. The analysis "suggests the presence of few, if any, prevalent terrorist threats currently within the U.S."

SOURCE

Does this mean the government and media might be exaggerating the terrorism threat a wee bit? Wonder why they'd do that? Money power and control couldn't can't have anything to do with it...right?

Poncho, I have often said that we need to be more concerned with what our government can do to us,than what terrorists might do to us. The Greater danger is from our own globalist's in Washington D.C.

Great job by our law enforcement agencies.

This is a case of a little going a long way.

Especially if you're one of the ones that is randomly targeted to die.

There should be no doubt in any thinking person's mind about that being a definite yes.

That's 158 potential terrorists that no longer pose a threat. Without active, effective investigative work, these could have been activated to inflict great damage.

I don't think the threat of terrorism is over stated, in that the potential for great destruction is now days obvious. Less than a dozen or so killed 3000 of us.

But they get lots of coverage and airtime and the gubment rushes in to take loud full credit for another great job (til after they're forgotten in three maybe four days and no one is paying attention to them anymore) that turns out to be a botched sting operation with an "informant" working with the "authorities" while recruiting a gang of half witted wannabes.

Social engineering at it's finest.

There you go, poncho, pointing out the obvious.

Remember: The Republicans have nothing to offer but fear itself.

The democrats and liberals play the same cards too. Remember: We hear all these hyped up nothings from the "liberal" media. It's social engnineering.

What have they made you afraid of?

Me? Their fearmongering hasn't had any impact on me since their fearmongering about Iraq proved to be fallacious.

If only one succeeds, you'll be the first to demand GWB's head. You know it and I know it.

Yep our imperial leader is so worried about a terrorist attack on our soil that he and his globalist benefactors refuse, make that REFUSE to secure the borders. If their were a real threat and he cared even a little they would have been secured ten seconds after the first plane hit.

And even if there were a real dire threat our imperial leader and his globalist benefactors would only stand to gain from another attack. They've said it themselves.

Wake up man terror and the fear of it benefits those that seek more power and control. Always has always will.

I won't argue that.

nonsense.

GWB has defended the United States as best he could, instead of doing nothing, as our former administration and probably future administration did/will.
If our nation would have united against the terrorist threats, this whole issue would probably been much easier to prosecute, but do to the divisiveness of our political system, GWB has been prosecuting a war over there, and here too. Half the nation here is against anything he proposes, simply for political reasons. The good of the nation has been set aside for political struggles.

In my view GWB has a distorted view of these days in the spiritual realm, and a distorted view of his role in leading America. It's like he sees what the Bible says about end times, and is trying to "help God" get us into it, rather than fighting steadfastly against it. His idea of "open borders" shows this. For GWB and his dad, "globalism are us", seems to fit.

He seems to want to bow to world courts, tear down Israel's sovereignty, and install yet another Islamic nation in/next to Israel.

But, his war on terrorism and stance on the SCOTUS, abortion, embryonic stem cells, SS, and other issues are right on, and I can support him there.

But the Democrats aren't fighting against this globalist movement, they are all for it. They are all about pursuing political domination, which they deem their responsibility and right. And they'll pursue it no matter the cost to America.

"While the Democrats may be seen as the "peacenik" party now, they supported Clinton’s bombing of Serbia because the bomber was a Democrat. Meanwhile, the Republicans—playing a role similar to the one now occupied by the Democrats—expressed disinterest in "Clinton’s War" in Bosnia. Today, Republicans do not support Bush because of Iraq; they support Iraq because of Bush." - Grover Norquist

I think that Mr. Norquist has hit the nail on the head and driven it through the board.

I see.

Are you somehow smarter or just more brave than all those other people that are afraid?

All of which is coming to zilch!!

Those of us who don't buy into replacement theology, and believe God's word is mostly literal, know that this activity will do nothing to bring any similance of peace to the area, and, in fact, will bring God's wrath on the perpetrators of such.

366 Fear nots in the Bible.......

Not hardly. Psalms 27:1 is my favorite scripture.

I find it slightly funny that some posters here like to decry the use of fear tactics by the Bush Administration, yet none of them ever admit to being scared by those tactics. :BangHead:

So I'm trying to find out just who they are talking about that are frightened by administratioin tactics. How 'bout you? Do da big bad bush tactics skeer ya?
