All Christians need to pull their children out of public schools. The public school in its current form exists to steal your children from you and replace your value system with the government's.

It is a difficult issue for me, and I expect others, to go along with anti-Christian laws of godless government. For example, the felony murder law says if two or more individuals are engaged in committing a felony, and one of them commits murder, all the participants are guilty of murder. I see this as akin to punishing the son for the father's sin. However, acting as a juror sworn to follow the Law, I found a person guilty of that law.

OTOH, I am among the less than one third of the voters of California that voted for school choice. :)

Do Juries have the right to declare Jury Nulification?
Jury Nullification: When the Jury Ignores the Law

As far as finding all participants guilty of murder - I think the reason for that is -say if the driver of the get-a-way refuses to testify against the actual murder - the proscutition can use that as leverage - ie "ok driver - if you testify - we will not charge you with murder..."

Obviously, as a Christian, doing my best to follow the instructions of Christ, my "Yes" means yes, and my "NO means no. So when I say I will follow the Law, that means I will not nullify the Law.

Yes, I agree the "Felony Murder Law" provides power to the government and sacrifices my concept of justice.

Would you have considered Jury nullification in this trial- Rosa Parks is on trial for not going to the back of the bus
(she was black) --- The law required she only sit in the back

So would you have considered Jury notification in this true example?

You mean after I had said I would follow the Law? Christ teaches it is never right to do wrong to do right.

I wish I could say of myself that I would have stood against such laws and voted not guilty for Rosa Parks, but I just don’t know.

I know now that I will not support the death penalty and would make that very clear during jury selection.

Concerning jury nullification: It seems to me the very fact we have a jury of our peers considering cases and not just judges (who are professionals in law), indicates nullification may have been an expected safeguard against over reaching governments.

Just a thought.

peace to you
