Same gender marriage is taking the nation by surprise. I say by surprise because I really thought the believers would fight harder and longer to stop their own states from passing these laws. However, since the SCOTUS is over ruling state by state, believers have a chance to register their discontent with the current politicians in WEashingtom by voting out the men and women who help make the laws, but are MIA!
I didn't think pot would become legal. However, once again, I was wrong and pot is eventually going to be sold anywhere and everywhere!
So, why not legalize the worlds' oldest profession? I heard this kicked around the other night on a televison panel. And they seemed to think we are not far from following several counties in Nevada, Canada and some nations in Europe. So, if this were to done, like the panel said, we could develop a new agency at the federal, state and even local levels for people to issue a license and ensure health and safety laws, and statutes are being followed implicitly. PLUS, we'd be able to tax the businesses and their customers, and instead of using law enforcement for busting "Johns and pimp's and prostitutes" the tasks of the law enforcement folks could be spent in areas of gtreater concern. Like ticketing folks for talking over the phone or texting while driving. Cops could spend more time working in the ghettos and barrios stopping the senseless black on black killings; cops could spend more time arresting drug cartels, and maybe even help in rounding up the illegals, while giving more tickets for driving under the influence; not having a license and insurance; and breaking other laws of the road that kill countless numbers of innocent folks every year!
Yes, I know that making the old profession legal is against what we adhere to in the Bible, and well it should, but the governments [federal, state and local] don't seem to care a hoot about our beliefs, which is seen in allowing same-sex marriage and pot sales and use in public!
I can tell you, that legalized prostitution isn't going to send a flood of Christian males to the closest legal brothel, but if it did, there'd be many men needing to be absolved of every sin for fornication to adultery!
The legalization of this profession would mean jobs [for inspectors] and tons of new tax revenue! And the ladies who once walked the streets, with no health insurance for their work, would be able to buy in Obamacare and prop up this industry too!
So what do you think? And please don't attack my moral views on this issue. I am not saying it isn't a sin. It is sin, but tolerance and political correctnes are slowly eroding away at what can be called a sin and what isn't not a sin! And all I am saying it that it may not be that long before this too, is made legal!
I am merely pointing out the positives and financial incentives our cash starved governments are experiencing!
