Joe Biden has promised we will all get a $2000 relief check in we elect the Democrats in Georgia.
President-elect Joe Biden on Monday said if Democratic U.S. Senate candidates Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock win their races in Georgia that Americans can expect to receive a $2,000 stimulus check.

“If you send Jon and the reverend to Washington, those $2,000 checks will go out the door restoring hope and decency and honor for so many people who are struggling right now,” Biden said at a rally for the Democrats in Atlanta. “And if you send Senators Perdue and Loeffler back to Washington those checks will never get there.”
Might work. Of course, Republicans Loeffler and Perdue have also said they are in favor of it.

Business is mixed around here. Traffic is horrible. The grocery store, filling station, drug store, car wash, and fast food places were jammed. The barber shop was in the doldrums although it has been in business 20 years and is well established due to over stringent rules. The area around the airport has so many warehouses with more being built all the time that I have no idea how many there are but truck traffic is very heavy day and night. The blue chip corporation where I work is going strong.

On the other hand, a lot of places are closed for good and small shops have gone out of business. So I am in favor of helping the lower class and I am not in favor of sending money to foreign countries. Indianapolis has a lot of low-paying jobs in these cold, dirty, windowless concrete-walled warehouses. Picking, packing, and fork lift operator. Still there are many people out of work because it is 40 miles from the destitute east side of Indianapolis to the warehouse district on the west side.

Downtown Indianapolis is going the way of LA. It’s not coming back very soon.

The $2,000 ended up a big issue here.

I thought it was going to be to the benefit the GOP when they were pushing the DNC holding the American people hostage by linking COVID relief to non-COVID spending.

But when the GOP linked COVID relief to non-COVID policy and investigations I assumed the Senate would be lost.

I do not know that the money was a good move financially. I suppose the government would wast it anyway, do it might as well be given as COVID relief.
