LGBTQ Community Gets Evangelist Franklin Graham Event Ads Pulled In The UK
I think you'll find you can. Can't preach the Bible in the UK. It's illegal.
I think you'll find you can.

Banned in the church pulpit though, correct?I think you'll find you can.
It is disgraceful that the advertisers should kow-tow to the LBTQWERTY industry like that, but the Bible is preached regularly in the open air day by day, and while several attempts have been made to get it stopped, it continues to the present time.
It is only a 'bus company that has refused the ads; they've not been banned by the Gov't.
All either freed without charge or found not guilty.
Doesn't stop us.But harrassed by law enforcement and arrested. Censorship by intimidation.
Incorrect.Banned in the church pulpit though, correct?
good to hear!Doesn't stop us.
Incorrect.

I really know nothing about Blackpool Council, or its 'bus company. The 'buses in my part of the world are privately run. It may be that Blackpool Council has taken this decision, but that has nothing to do with the UK Gov't. Graham's organization can advertise elsewhere if it wants, or hand out flyers.Martin, according to the Blackpool Transport wiki article, it is owned by the Blackpool Borough Council. In the US, that would make this a governmental matter. Yes, not the Government, but a governmental matter none the less. In my locale, in San Francisco buses, cable cars and the Metro System are operated by the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency a semi-independent governmental body.
he doesn't rant against gays or lesbians, but does take God's view on the issue, as God judges that lifestyle as being harmful and unacceptable!Or the gays
Where has he ever stated that gay persons should be stoned to death?Well he seemed to go the full Westboro last week and say that gays deserve death. That might just have a teensy-weensy bit to do with his ads being pulled from a Blackpool bus...which is a shame, because he's actually a good preacher of the Gospel and if he stuck to that he'd get his message across more effectively. How about evangelists, you know, evangelizing!?
It may be that Blackpool Council has taken this decision, but that has nothing to do with the UK Gov't.
OK. I understand that. Blackpool is a Northern, working-class town and I expect it has a left-wing council which may (I don't know) be pro-LBGTQWERTY. Also, in some neighbouring towns, there has been racial tension in the past, and the council can probably do without someone coming and (as they see it) stirring things up. The way to win Moslems for Christ is to present Him as Lord and Saviour. Ranting against Moslems just hardens them in their opposition.Martin, I think the problem is one of usage. Remember, the U.S. is a federal system, not a unitary one. So, we will refer to "the government" when speaking about government at all levels. As best as I can see, nobody is saying Westminster has anything to do with the removal of the adverts. But, from an American POV, the action was a (small 'g') governmental one. Just as a decision by SF Muni would be considered a governmental decision
..which is a shame, because he's actually a good preacher of the Gospel and if he stuck to that he'd get his message across more effectively.
No. He banged on about Teh Gayz, which is not the same thing
