Nope, not if it is okay for Rove to do it.

What do you think? Is that because Franken is a poor host or because his agenda [terse word deleted]?"</font>
Al Franken? ( [IMG] )
Just think: only a year or so on the radio, and he already has almost half the audience of Rush Limbaugh............

Terse? [IMG]

If you delete all "terse" words, no one can answer a question with a simple yes or no anymore.

Speaking of Rush Limbaugh, how many of you listened to him today? I did.

He started off the show with the usual monologue, and in this he even pointed out how the whole Rove discussion is now going away, thanks to the Supreme Court nomination procedure.

How many of you saw this?
(I posted it in another discussion.)

</font>
This is precisely what Rush Limbaugh did all week.
He talked about Rove as though he possessed tremendous intregrity. Rush attacked Wilson, and anyone who dared to defend him. He also read an attack piece on Wilson right from the GOP website.
Here is a link to the article.

As I said before: no credibility......

Not me.

I catch about an hour of his show once a week. Just when I'm in the car. Don't listen otherwise.

Same for Hannity.

Haven't seen or heard an O'Reilly Show since before the election.

I don't visit either the republican or democrat websites.

Most of the info I get about these guys comes from people on this forum and one other.

.............and just think: Al Franken has only been on the air for roughly a year and a half, yet he is closing in on Bill O'Reilly.

The law doesn't cover that.
She had not been under cover for the last 5 years, the time period for which the law covers. </font>
So, I can only assume you are saying that it is not against the law to take down anyone who might be associated with undercover agents. Amazing.....
</font>
I do not understand your assumption of my saying. It was not against the law for Rove to mention that woman. That much is clear. He didn't name her eather. In order for him to be in violation of the law, she would have had to be,
under cover during the last 5 years. And, he would have had to name her, which he did not do. Both of the above would have had to happen for there to have been a crime.

Do you have a link for this statistic? Is this nationwide or in an isolated market?

Unless that statistic applies nationwide it really is of little value. If Franken still has only half of Rush's audience in a liberal area, that speaks very, very poorly about Franken's appeal even to liberals.

From what I have read Rush dominates Talk radio. Even many Liberals admit the guy has talent and he is The Pioneer of Talk Radio. I liked his TV show back in the early 90's and wish he would have kept it on.

I don't always agree with Rush (Being I am a right leaning Libertarian) but he is a talented talker who is generaly not rude to his callers who disagree with him. He can talk about serious subjects and can be very Funny and make great points.

One of the things that bugs Liberals is it was okay for them to make fun of Republicans and Conservatives on sitcoms, Saturday Night Live etc...BUT when Rush came along and showed that Conservatives have a sense of humor in poking fun at Liberals, it seemed to irritate them and explains their hostility at Rush.

i don't always agree with rush, but he is funny, and insitful at times, as long as he doesn't go into theology. i heard him once and he made no sense at all. but very funny, and good for America in general, Hannity is all right but a little whiny to listen to him for all 3 hour most days, but funny as well.

i've listened to Rush since 90. and my ony complaint is he needs to get over himself at times, and get on with the show.

thankyou anD God Bless

Generally these guys screen their calls very carefully. Anyone that can actually debate legit counterpoints won't get on the show.

That's like O'Reilly said he would debate anyone on the Patriot Act until Michael Badnarik agreed to a debate then O'Reilly quickly backed down.

I disagree that Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, Tammy Bruce, or Ingraham(among the national names) place limits like that because I have heard enough people call in who disagree with them to know that is not the case.

Look Ken, that's how it works. The last thing any of these guys want is a well informed articulate caller to make any legit points. They screen their calls to make sure they always have the upper hand. Call em up and answer the qualifiers questions if you doubt it. It's only a little phone call. Good luck. ;)

I called and got in on the Hannity show last week. I was asked two question: "What would you like to talk about?", and after I told her I wanted to talk about the supreme court pick, she asked me to be more specific about what I wanted to talk about, by the call screener. Those were the only two questions asked by the call screener, and then I was the next caller on the air.

I called in on a Saturday morning radio talk show one time and that was my experience as well, Joseph. I think this "he doesn't allow any good liberal callers on his show" is merely a canard by those who don't like a talk show host.
