Local schools serve breakfast and lunch through Summer months!?

How many of you were aware that your tax dollars are going towards "Continued Breakfast and lunch programs" through the summer months, at your local schools? I know I was surprised to read the above link, and maybe even a little disgusted, as it seems that our tax dollars are being spent to subsidize the children of the indigent year round! Is it any wonder that the parents show up at anti-Republican candidate rallies? They don't want the free meals and other free stuff to dry up!

Here are two clips from the above link, which I hope entices you to read the entire article! "Since 2013, Riverside County has expanded from 162 to 179 locations while San Bernardino County has swelled from 131 to 207 sites ... Nearly two-thirds of Riverside County students qualify for free and discount-priced lunches while almost 70 percent are eligible in San Bernardino County."

One local school, down the street from me, serves 300 meals a day! Is it any wonder that those on welfare, and those who are in America illegally, love this country? Free breakfast, lunch, year round. Cell phones. Text minutes! Rent assistance. Etc ., You get the idea! Have we become a "Welfare state?!" It sure seems like it!

The Bible also speaks against BORROWING money. We are borrowing trillions. It also teaches that people should NOT be LAZY.

Ponder some of those verses, ctb. There are poor, and there are moochers. Obama has increased the number of people dependent upon us, then he has taught to fish and be able to support themselves. Your one verse does not suffice. You know all too well that Obama is laying up votes for future Democrats with each person he gets hooked, HOOKED, on welfare. Welfare is like a drug. It is addictive. And very difficult to break free of.

Did He share food without ending. That was ONE meal. The crowds went back to living a life where they worked for their food. You know that was a banquet. A one time feeding. Quit trying to make more loafs out of loafers. There is a difference between the two meanings.

See other verses. See his teachings about how we are to care for others. He certainly did not show stinginess, hoarding, denying others. The hard lessons of Jesus are hard for many to accept.

Not did he say that was wrong. Your argument holds no water. And if we look at how he treated people it becomes obvious that he would not condemn governments that helped their people who have needs.

My children are going to an outreach today where there are needy who will be getting free food. This outreach feeds 3500 people a week and on Saturdays during the school year, they have a kid's club and feed them lunch - sometimes something as simple as pancakes because these kids oftentimes have nothing for lunch. How families get to this point is not important when there are children actually suffering. This is one case where I don't fault the government. At least they are doing something - something that we apparently are not.

Seriously ... let your church feed them. That is where charity began, and it was never meant to be the role of government to feed and clothe the masses. I see nothing wrong With jurches stepping up and caring for the needy. But, this is tax money, and as you can clearly see, thegovernment is running out of money. In my local communities, new taxes have been voted down repeatedly, and government is now having to cut out and back on services. People will only pay so much tax, Ann, the well is close to running dry. People need to be taught to work. But we continue to bring the por here, and that means digging deeper into the coffers to assure the masses are not hungry. It will come crashing down, and reality is close to hitting the fan.

You are one sick, disgusting individual. Now you got a problem with schools feeding the hungry? Some of these kids wouldn't eat if not for these programs.

He advocated that you give to Caesar what is Caesar's. And if Caesar chooses to feed the poor with what IS Caesar's, then there shouldn't be a Christian complaining.

It is the responsibility of the government to do whatever it wants to do with ITS money. You don't have any real ownership of government money. If they want it, they can take it. If they want to make it of no value, they can.
