Most of the time, simply treating them like humans kept hostility down, but face it, no one likes being busted, & I always had to be prepared. And the size of the fight in the dog often exceeded the size of the dog in the fight.

Boxing is probably the best self defense anyone can learn as no one wants to grapple on the concrete during a mob. It also take away fear which is a huge advantage in stress situations. It’s not how hard you get hit but how clean is what my coach used to preach.

Detroit had a deadly race riot in 1943, with 34 deaths, mostly blacks, & over 1800 arrests, mostly blacks, with stiff sentences imposed on those found guilty. After that, tensions eased, as both sides resolved to iron out their differences & work together - til the liberal invasion began !

And it took little time before black families became fatherless. Segregation should have remained. Not forever, but certainly long enough for black communities and businesses to mature. Instead blacks have professional sports and entertainment industries as their gods. And black people are some of the most merciful and gracious that I’ve ever known. The only real problem with them as far as I can see is that they were usually printed with black letters on a white background, a little red or green color added to them would have made things a bit more cheerier, don't you think?

And during segregation the black families condition had a low fatherless percentage. What happened was whitey looked cross the tracks and said to himself self, how is it that 95% of Americans are employees like me? But Woodrow over there owns a store? Or a theatre? Or a taxicab? Well, Atonia, whites democrats began to seethe with jealousy and their leaders created the deal where as LBJ said “I’ll have these nrs voting democrat for the next one hundred years.”

You took advantage of an oppressed segment of our citizens and baited them with welfare. Now, think about it. From slavery to segregation to discrimination then the all mighty white man savior offers the path of least resistance. Of course they took it.

And now, the white man savior of all black Americans produced a half breed white liberal off as a black Moses which insures another 50 years of black democrat voting.

But he grew up in Hawaii where I live and my contemporaries here that smoked weed with him at Punahou didn’t realize he was black. Which is why ultimately the white liberal Barak Obama’s legacy is transgender bathrooms and gay marriage.

BUSING for "integration" was one of the biggest evils inflicted on blax by whites in power.

First, WHO was bused? Mostly, black kids, outta their 'hoods & local schools, where they often weren't welcomed. either by the other students, or by the faculty. Many were short-changed on education because of this.

The only thing that was accomplished was some politico being able to say, "OUR school district is INTEGRATED!" or some idiot judge to say, "My court order for school integration is being enforced !"

The BLACK kids were made to suffer !

And just WHO paid for all the extra buses & personnel needed ? Why, the TAXPAYERS & the school district, of course ! When taxpayers saw the astronomical cost of extra buses & personnel for "integration busing", they regularly voted down tax levies for the schools, but some New-Age-liberal judges ruled that busing must take precedence over anything else the schools needed money for, the schools had to make cuts in funding for many other things, including EDUCATION MATERIALS. This, of course, afffected all students regardless of color. (A new school bus costs almost as much as a new firetruck !)

And busing, of course, led to the proliferation of private schools & "white flight" to the suburbs to escape busing & the resulting poor public school districts. They lured good teachers to these private schools by offering them more pay & perx than the PS systems did. It achieved nothing but to make many school districts poor.

Finally, in 2007, SCOTUS effectively struck down mandated busing for integration, but the damage still remains.

I've been avoiding this thread bc the discourse gets to me and even feeds my anxiety disorder, so. Replies and stuff will be spotty.

Those that always make it about race sets back society in general, and them in particular.

This one IS about race. The black community receives violence from police at a higher rate than does the white population.
You do have police who are equal opportunity and will abuse their power on anyone--that said, oftentimes prejudice/racism is invisible/subconscious, and that's something that you don't recognize until it's pointed out to you and it's something you need to unlearn over time. They are profiling these people based on unconscious biases, at the very least.
(For the record, no. I'm not one of those who believes all white people are racist, or inherently racist.)

If you're not black, you don't know what it's like to be on the receiving end of systematic racism. You don't know the kinds of things they deal with or have dealt with personally. You don't know the blinders you as a white person have until you become willing to listen to the experience of those in different shoes than you. Racism/prejudice isn't always overt.
Be willing to lend an ear to a peoople that has been hurting. My black friends have told me some things.
