Most of the churches I attended that gave to LMCO either had the WMU set the goal or a missions team or some the like.
The church I currently attend does not give, but I can choose to give otherwise by sending my money to IMB.

We have always participated for as long as I can remember. I don't know exactly who sets our goal.
Does anyone else's church watch the videos put out by the SBC? We do.

Can you designate a part of your offering, give it to your local church to be sent to LMCO?

It is possible, or I can give to a church that gives to LMCO.
The reason I suggest is so your church will be credited.

We watched the first one today.
We watched the second one today.
We designate a portion of our missions budget for planned gifts to Lottie Moon and Annie Armstrong. During this time of the year we have a larger missions offering that helps fund most of our other ventures which takes precedence.
This isn't to say we don't find either important, they are, but our strategic missions focus is not always on the same page with the SBC. So we choose to support these offerings this way.
