When two people love each other, can they just walk away from one another when they have hard times? :tear:

Scarlett O. said:Well.....yes, they can.
Love makes people do strange things and so do hard times. One might say, "I'll stick by you to the bitter end!! :love2: But when that bitter end gets here, unfortunately, some don't keep their word. Some do.
Is it because they didn't love enough?
I think it's because they either didn't love maturely or never actually loved with genuine love at all.
I Corinthians 13 (paraphrased)
When people stray from this list and start to allow things to get between themselves and those they love, then yes, people can abandon even those they claim to love. Some common factors are jealousy, taking the other person for granted, holding on like a pit bull to the past mistakes of those we love, focusing on current mistakes of loved ones, self-centeredness which leads to having a "short-fuse" and no patience, and worst of all, falling for the lie from the world that love has to be perfect for us to be in a loving relationship. Why should a loving relationship be perfect when people are not perfect.
- Love is patient.
- Love is kind.
- Love is not jealous.
- Love doesn't brag.
- Love isn't full of itself.
- Love behaves with manners.
- Love always seeks the other one's needs first.
- Love doesn't get angry at the drop of a hat.
- Love doesn't dwell on past mistakes.
- Love doesn't say, "I told you so!!"
- Love embraces the truth about the other one.
- Love bears everything.
- Love believes and hopes for all the best of things.
- Love can survive anything.
- Love never fails.
People turn their backs on those they love everyday all across the world.
