This is the third part of a critique of Hyper-preterism which I have been posting on my Blog.

In this article I look at the meaning of our Lord's Olivet Discourse, concentrating on Matt 24:34. "Assuredly I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away until all these things take place."
Previous articles are
http://marprelate.wordpress.com/2012/01/20/the-forgotten-doctrine-loving-the-return-of-christ-1/ in which I look at various NT texts to show that the early Christians were eagerly awaiting, longing for and loving the Return of Christ. I go on to ask what it was that they were so eagerly anticipating.
http://marprelate.wordpress.com/2012/02/23/the-forgotten-doctrine-loving-the-return-of-christ-2/ Here I investigate some of the verses that seem to suggest an early return of Christ.
In the fourth article (whenever I get around to writing it) I shall be looking at the importance of Christians today eargerly awaiting our Lord's return, and the need to oppose any doctrine that denies that coming return.
Comments are welcome, either here or on the Blog (or both! :thumbs
