This is the third part of a critique of Hyper-preterism which I have been posting on my Blog.

In this article I look at the meaning of our Lord's Olivet Discourse, concentrating on Matt 24:34. "Assuredly I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away until all these things take place."

In this article, I am continuing my critique of Hyper-preterism and I want to investigate the meaning of Matthew 24:34.* “Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.”* Does this verse really mean that the whole of Matt 24 took place in AD 70?* I intend to show that it certainly does not.

It is not only the FP who believe this but many PP also believe Matt. 24 was fulfilled in the events of AD 70.

By the way it is not coincidental that Matt. 24 the overwhelming go-to passage for people who want to wrongly divide the prophecy of Christ. Luke and Mark will not lend themselves to this AD 70/still-future as neatly as Matthew seems to do at first glance.

Luke, especially, "messes up" the chronology that the Matthew of dispensationalists laid out. A careful comparison of the timeline of Matt 24 and those two places in Luke would be very instructive. And very damaging to the majority view.

No. I never read the article, don't have the time or desire to read the article. I have this THREEFOLD statement by Christ:

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all these things be accomplished. Mt 24:34

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, until all these things be accomplished. Mk 13:30

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all things be accomplished. Lk 21:32

If there's something from your article that shows Christ was lying, then by all means bring it to light.

Christ also had this to say:
