Less than 3% of the members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Norway attend services on Sunday. Many of the churches are not even open except for Christmas, Easter, baptisms and confirmations. I doubt this ad is having much effect on the people who view it. Sounds like desperate measures to try to interest people in the Church of Norway. The Lutheran churches of Sweden, Finland, and Denmark are in about the same shape. Most closed except for 'special holidays'. Been that way for years. Polls asking about belief in God, the importance of religion in people’s lives, belief in life after death or church attendance consistently bear this out. Scandinavians have, for the most part, markedly irreligious societies.

Don't we have a member from Norway? Maybe he could translate the commercial for us. . .

Lutherans believe in baptismal regeneration. It is a version of baptismal regeneration distinct from Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy, but it is still baptismal regeneration. Even though, I do not believe in infant baptism or not sprinkling counts as baptism, yet my main problem with the Lutheran view of baptism is their doctrine of baptismal regeneration.
