Macy's Thanksgiving Parade

We usually always watch some or most of the parade each Thanksgiving. This morning I turned it on and could only watch 5 minutes before I was totally discusted. They had a group perform in the parade called Kinky Boots. It highlighted a drag queen dressed in a provocative outfit. I immediately turned it off. This is where we are now. From a Norman Rockwell environment from years past to a politically corrected LGBTQ parade for our children to watch. No thanks.

We had Santa riding on a 1929 Ahrens-Fox firetruck in a snowstorm. Must be a little Rockwell left in these parts.

Yup gonna have to lump Macy's right in there with J C Penny and Home Depot. Wal Mart keeps looking better all the time.

Is the LGBTQ community being more influential than the Christian community these days? I was sickened by the link from Rev on Macy's website. Did you know some states are passing laws that make it illegal to have ministries that try and deliver LGBT people away from their lifestyles? Yes good is now evil and evil is good in America.

Was Milton a LGBT fellow or just pulling a comedy stunt?

It's been trashy for years.

The Rockettes?

Big Betty Boop balloon?

Harvey Fierstein as 'Mrs. Claus' in 2003:

Johnny Weir as the 2011 parade's 'Winter Monarch':

I was wondering if I was the only one who remembered a man as Mrs. Claus in the parade. I quit watching it. It seems to be a big advertisement for Broadway shows. I don't like Macy's--they took over all the department stores here.

And here I thought I was being righteous for shopping at Macy's instead of J C Penny. I think I will reverse that trend now since the gay guy at Penny is finished.
