First I've heard of this, but I find it "interesting" how this 18 year old has become so successful. Net worth $275 million!

"Malia Obama tops annual list of highest-paid heirs

In 2014 it looked like the heir’s spectacular career was winding down. Suddenly, she was back on top. People With Money reports on Friday (November 25) that Obama is the highest-paid heir in the world, pulling in an astonishing $96 million between October 2015 and October 2016, a nearly $60 million lead over her closest competition.

People With Money’s factors

In compiling this yearly list, the magazine considers factors such as upfront pay, profit participation, residuals, endorsements and advertising work.

The American heir has an estimated net worth of $275 million. She owes her fortune to smart stock investments, substantial property holdings, lucrative endorsement deals with CoverGirl cosmetics. She also owns several restaurants (the “Fat Obama Burger” chain) in Washington, a Football Team (the “Chicago Angels”), has launched her own brand of Vodka (Pure Wonderobama - US), and is tackling the juniors market with a top-selling perfume (With Love from Malia) and a fashion line called “Malia Obama Seduction”.

BTW, Trump's daughter, Ivanka, daughter of a billionaire, at 30 years old, is said to have a net worth of a "mere" $150 million and was criticized by the media for wearing a bracelet during the 60 minute interview and therefore trying to endorse her jewelry line....

Guess I'm just wondering why this is the first I've heard of Malia's sudden fortune.

You didn’t believe that that article was factual, did you?

Oh yeah. Trump supporters get this stuff on Facebook and via emails (and elsewhere) and forward it to their friends.

NEW YORK — A new report suggests a "sophisticated" Russian propaganda campaign helped flood social media with fake news stories leading up to the presidential election.

The Washington Post, citing a yet-to-be published report from independent researchers, said the goal was to punish Hillary Clinton, help Donald Trump, and undermine faith in American democracy.

Here's a popular fake news site run by a couple of twenty-somethings that cater to Trump supporters. They've gotten rich in the past year by selling advertising on their site

And here's their story. A fascinating read.

Well, as Donald Trump has 5 kids and is worth about $5 billion, divided between his kids that makes 10 year old Barron worth right around $1 billion. Take that Milea! :D:D:D

My mistake. His financial disclosure indicates he made $557 million last year. As most corporate profits run about 5% of investment, Trumps $557 million income reflects an investment of just at or slightly over $10 billion. So, Barron is worth $2 billion, not $1 billion. Eat your heart out Milea! :D:D:D

Greetings TCassidy. I'm confused. First, the story is false - it's from a fake news site. Secondly, why is it necessary to tease/laugh about/have fun with the idea that Barron Trump is worth a lot more than Malia Obama? I don't get it? Shouldn't we care about all of these people? Consider - if Donald Trump or one of his family members - OR Barak Obama or one of his family members became overtly, passionately Christian, standing for biblical truth, wouldn't that be better than (a) worrying about who is worth more and (b) getting into a cultural war when the eternal war is definitely most important? Don't get me wrong - I do want to see God's people impact the culture. However, people must be free to choose, and not coerced by cultural pressure to believe.

Your thoughts?

I will do what I can to help alleviate your confusion.

First, the story is false - it's from a fake news site.
Yes, we all know that.

Secondly, why is it necessary to tease/laugh about/have fun with the idea that Barron Trump is worth a lot more than Malia Obama?
Uh, because I have a sense of humor? Also, please note that Barron Trump is 10 years old. He has no assets at this time. Everything he has is owned by his father.

I don't get it?
Again, I will do all I can to help.
Shouldn't we care about all of these people?
Who said I don't care about them?

Consider - if Donald Trump or one of his family members - OR Barak Obama or one of his family members became overtly, passionately Christian, standing for biblical truth, wouldn't that be better than (a) worrying about who is worth more and (b) getting into a cultural war when the eternal war is definitely most important?
And what does this have to do with the thread? Nobody has suggested starting a cultural war.

I do want to see God's people impact the culture.
Wonderful, but what has that to do with this thread?

However, people must be free to choose, and not coerced by cultural pressure to believe.
Again, what has this to do with the thread?

Your thoughts?
Yes. Do yourself a favor. Grow a sense of humor. :D

Hmm your debate point (b) is reminiscent of a former BB contributor - Zaac.
