So how do you protect your women from being verbally sexually harassed? Or do they just have to put up with it in a kind of medieval sort of way?

Telling a female cop that she should get a more feminine job is NOT sexual harassment.
If that hurt her feelings - then she is a wimpl

Dinosaur attitudes: I cooked today....and yesterday. Sometimes my wife does it sometimes I do. All of us including the kids help clean the house.

I dare you to tell Gordon Ramsay to his face that cooking is a 'feminine pursuit'! You crack me up!

:Laugh I was (of course) kidding. But you aren't the one I was ribbing.

As long as your wife doesn't make you wear a maid outfit when you cook I suppose it isn't a reversal of roles. .... she doesnt, does she? :Cautious

What difference does the current century make?
Because - and thanks be to God for this! - we no longer live in an age where such obnoxious sexist attitudes (along with slavery, segragation and other forms of racism ) are no longer allowed to flourish and have rightly been consigned to the dustbin of history; I'm heartily glad that my daughter can set her mind on any job she's wants and not be told patronisingly "you can't do that: you're a girl".

Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored [Titus 2:3-5].

Black, are you thanking God that these instructions are not being carried out today? If so, what other scriptural instructions merit your thanks to the One whose word it is that we [people in general] do the opposite?

He seems to be doing just that, and if that is correct, I pity his poor daughter.

It was an instruction given to a people in a particular social-cultural context that I am thankful no longer exists; elsewhere he similarly gives instructions to slaves and I am equally thankful slavery no longer exists. What possible problem could a Christian have with slavery being abolished?
