Manners

I was reading back posts, and found this one...

What happened to them?

When did it become "okay" to call someone bad names? In another thread someone said that calling someone a troll was using properly terminology - NONSENSE! UTTER Nonsense!

When did it become "fine" to be rude?

When did it become "okay" to be insulting?

When did Christians decide that "because the rest of the world/internet" behaves badly it is find for Christians to do so?

**I wonder this myself :(

What I do is post a pic of a rabbit and ask them to spend quality time with the animal. I do this when they act like one towards me.

Welcome to BB! this is an interesting place for sure. You'll strengthen your stance on some issues and probably change your stance on others during your time here. Most of us have done so.

There is an ignore feature. I've not used it yet, but I am considering it with one particular poster right now.

It will just take some time for you to figure out who is sincere and who is here to promote an agenda and/or vent.

Perhaps since Jesus called people "fools," "broods of vipers," "blind guides," and more. Paul also said "You fool!" in I Corinthians 15:36

When did it become "fine" to be rude?

Perhaps since Jesus refused to 'wash his hands' when a Pharisee invited him to his home for a meal, or told the gentile woman who wanted him to heal her daughter that doing so would be "throwing the children's food to the dogs."

When did it become "okay" to be insulting?

"You fool!" is not an insult? Or "generation of vipers?" Or "you have fattened your hearts for a day of slaughter" [James]?

Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, 'Raca,' is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.
