I was reading back posts, and found this one...

What happened to them?

When did it become "okay" to call someone bad names? In another thread someone said that calling someone a troll was using properly terminology - NONSENSE! UTTER Nonsense!

When did it become "fine" to be rude?

When did it become "okay" to be insulting?

When did Christians decide that "because the rest of the world/internet" behaves badly it is find for Christians to do so?

**I wonder this myself :(

"Troll" has obviously become something other than you're thinking of. Though I don't use the term on the board here, I use it in other internet areas. It IS a proper term for someone who is "trolling", or posting only to illicit a reaction instead of engaging in discussion which furthers the topic. Granted, I've seen it used on the board improperly (some people use it as anyone who adamantly disagrees with them), but it's still a proper term that is actually no more rude than calling someone who is lying a liar.
